Real. Un viaggio disincantato nel mondo della rete: è questo l’ambientazione del doc di Adele Tulli (regista e docente di cinema), il suo secondo lungometraggio che scandisce l’ultima tappa della prima parte dell’edizione 2025 di “AstraDoc – Viaggio nel cinema del reale”.
La regista sarà ospite a Napoli per la rassegna curata da Arci Movie e presenterà il suo film in prima visione a Napoli venerdì 21 febbraio alle 20:30 nella sala di via Mezzocannone 109 dove interverrà anche la produttrice Laura Romano.
Proposta alla 77esima edizione del Locarno Film Festival, l’opera realizza un viaggio filmico, visionario e coinvolgente dentro al mondo disincarnato della rete, un multiverso digitale parallelo dove ogni cosa esistente è trasformata dalla fisica dell’ossigeno e del carbonio alla logica dei bit.
Un documentario creativo che esplora la trasformazione dell’esperienza umana nell’era digitale facendo luce sui molti aspetti, a tratti perturbanti, del vivere digitalizzato e iperconnesso: i protagonisti – umani, robotici, virtuali – sono alle prese con relazioni virtuali, lavori digitali, cybersessualità, case e città del futuro, automatizzate e sorvegliate. Raccontano di cultura dell’autorappresentazione, di nuove dipendenze e patologie, di alienazione e isolamento ma anche di identità libere dai confini fisici del corpo.
Real ha uno sguardo inedito e sperimentale, utilizzando poeticamente le stesse lenti di accesso ai nuovi territori digitali: visori, webcam, smartphone, camere di sorveglianza, sguardi meccanici e virtuali che raccontano di un nuovo modo di fare esperienza del reale.
Prodotto da Pepito Produzioni e FilmAffair con Rai Cinema e Luce Cinecittà in collaborazione con Les Films d’Ici, il lavoro è sviluppato con il supporto della residenza di scritture NIPKOW (Berlino 2021), ha partecipato al Venice Gap Financing 2023 e EWIP Koln 2023, ha vinto il premio per il Miglior Progetto nell’ambito del Milano FilmNetwork Atelier 2023.

Real. A disenchanted journey into the world of the Internet: this is the setting of the documentary by Adele Tulli ( film director and cinema teacher), her second feature film, which marks the final stage of the first part of the 2025 edition of ‘AstraDoc – Viaggio nel cinema del reale’.
The director will be in Naples for the festival curated by Arci Movie and will present her film for the first time in Naples on Friday 21 February at 20:30 at the Theatre in via Mezzocannone 109, where producer Laura Romano will also speak.
Screened at the 77th edition of the Locarno Film Festival, the work is a cinematic, visionary and exciting journey into the disembodied world of the Net, a parallel digital multiverse where everything that exists is transformed from the physics of oxygen and carbon to the logic of bits.
A creative documentary that explores the transformation of human experience in the digital age, highlighting the many, sometimes disturbing, aspects of digitised and hyper-connected life: the protagonists – human, robotic, virtual – grapple with virtual relationships, digital jobs, cybersexuality, automated and monitored homes and cities of the future.
The work tells of the culture of self-representation, of new addictions and pathologies, of alienation and isolation, but also of identities free from the physical confines of the body.
Real has an unprecedented and experimental look, poetically using the same lenses to access new digital territories: visors, webcams, smartphones, surveillance cameras, mechanical and virtual gazes that tell of a new way of experiencing reality.
Produced by Pepito Produzioni and FilmAffair with Rai Cinema and Luce Cinecittà in collaboration with Les Films d’Ici, the work was developed with the support of the NIPKOW writers’ residency (Berlin 2021), participated in the Venice Gap Financing 2023 and EWIP Koln 2023, and won the Best Project award within the Milan FilmNetwork Atelier 2023.
