Viaggio nella bellezza, attraverso la creatività. Camere d’arte è il progetto ideato da Giuseppe Leone, artista e Maestro dell’Accademia napoletana, con Métis, luogo d’eccellenza partenopeo per hospitality, food & beverage.
Métis ha recentemente aperto le porte del suo relais, con cinque camere dall’allure internazionale, avvolte dal fascino storico di Palazzo Mancini di Castellana, un tempo convento di S.Maria Cappella Vecchia, tra il lungomare e il centro elegante di Napoli, Chiaia.
L’iniziativa rappresenta un nuovo modo di vivere l’ospitalità di un hotel: un’ esperienza inedita per lasciarsi realmente abbracciare dall’arte.
Direttore artistico lo stesso Giuseppe Leone che trasforma così il Metis in una culla d’arte, proponendo un calendario di mostre. In ogni stanza, ci saranno opere di artisti in dialogo ideale, secondo una volontà di narrazione che offrirà un inedito servizio in camera: l’arte.
Spiega Leone: «Il tempo di riflessione che si ha nella camera di un hotel è molto più intimo e profondo che in chiassose mostre. Tanto il fruitore-ospite quanto l’artista avranno così modo di dar vita, tramite le opere, ad un incontro unico ed irripetibile, frutto di una prolungata compresenza tra opere e cliente, sì da generare un vero viaggio narrativo tra le parti».
Si comincia domenica 5 febbraio (appuntamento su invito alle 19) con la prima esposizione: Giuseppe Leone incontra il fotografo Pasquale Palmieri. Una partenza che illuminerà un mondo fatto di forma e materia, interpretazione e traduzione del reale attraverso linguaggi differenti eppure affini.
Gli ospiti potranno ritrovare la forza dei simboli e dei rimandi ancestrali nelle opere di Leone e avranno modo di compiere una sorta di nuovo onirico itinerario attraverso le narrazioni fotografiche di Pasquale Palmieri.
Camere d’arte si propone come risposta ai desideri dell’animo umano che nell’armonia artistica avverte sempre più bisogno di rifugiarsi o sostare, come in una camera d’hotel.

Journey into beauty, through creativity. Rooms of Art is the project conceived by Giuseppe Leone, artist and Master of the Neapolitan Academy, with Métis, a Neapolitan place of excellence for hospitality, food & beverage.
Métis recently opened the doors of its relais, with five rooms with an international allure, surrounded by the historic charm of Palazzo Mancini di Castellana, once the convent of S.Maria Cappella Vecchia, between the promenade and the elegant center of Naples, Chiaia.
The initiative represents a new way of experiencing the hospitality of a hotel: an ‘unprecedented experience to be truly embraced by art.
Artistic director is Giuseppe Leone himself, who transforms the Metis into a cradle of art, proposing a calendar of exhibitions. In each room, there will be works by artists in an ideal dialogue, according to a desire for storytelling that will offer an unprecedented room service: art.
Explains Leone: «The reflection time in a hotel room is much more intimate and profound than in noisy exhibitions. Both the user-guest and the artist will have the opportunity to bring to life, through the works, a unique and unrepeatable exchange that is the result of a prolonged co-presence between works and client, in order to generate a true narrative journey between the parties».
It begins on Sunday, Feb. 5 (appointment by invitation at 7 p.m.) with the first exhibition: Giuseppe Leone meets photographer Pasquale Palmieri. A starting point that will illuminate a world made of form and matter, interpretation and translation of reality through different languages.
Guests will be able to rediscover the power of symbols and ancestral references in Leone’s works and will be able to take a kind of new dreamlike journey through Pasquale Palmieri’s photographic narratives.
The project Rooms of Art is proposed as a response to the desires of the human soul, which in artistic harmony increasingly feels the need to take refuge or pause, as in a hotel room.
