Pretty Yende al San Carlo, dopo il restauro. Sarà il celebre soprano sudafricano, la prima artista a salire sul palcoscenico Massimo ritrovato.
Giovedì 6 aprile, alle 19, esattamente un mese prima di partecipare alla cerimonia di incoronazione di re Carlo III e della regina consorte Camilla, che si terrà sabato 6 maggio all’Abbazia di Westminster di Londra.
Yende, infatti, è tra i maggiori talenti scelti da Bukingham Palace per la cerimonia ufficiale di incoronazione, un evento epocale che sarà seguito in tutto il mondo. «È difficile esprimere a parole quanto mi senta onorata e fortunata nel ricevere un invito ad esibirmi all’Incoronazione delle Loro Maestà il Re e la Regina Consorte all’Abbazia di Westminster».
Al San Carlo, dove ritorna dopo il successo di Traviata di Verdi con la regia di Ozpetek lo scorso luglio, sarà accompagnata dal pianista Michele D’Elia in un programma che include brani di Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Gioachino Rossini, Claude Debussy, Franz Listz e Gaetano Donizetti.
Tra le stelle più brillanti della musica classica a livello internazionale, Pretty Yende si è esibita in tutti i maggiori teatri del mondo, come Royal Opera House, Covent Garden di Londra, Opéra di Parigi, Metropolitan Opera di New York, Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Deutsche Oper di e Staatsoper di Berlino, Bayerische Staatsoper a Monaco, Opernhaus di Zurigo, Gran Teatre del Liceu di Barcellona, Wiener Staatsoper e molti altri.
