Il 76 Festival di Locarno dà spazio ai giovani. In questa cornice , infatti, è stata assegnata una menzione speciale a “Procida” film collettivo prodotto da Regione Campania e Film Commission con il coordinamento di Parallelo 41 Produzioni e realizzato lo scorso anno sull’isola Capitale Italiana della Cultura da 12 giovani cineasti (di età comprese tra i 17 e i 25 anni) al termine di un lavoro di formazione diretto da Leonardo Di Costanzo.
Storie, luoghi ed anime, a costruire uno spaccato di vita procidana, che hanno colpito l’interesse della giuria (i cineasti Firouzeh Khosrovani e Moussa Sene Absa e la regista e produttrice Arami Ullón) che ha premiato il lavoro dei neo-filmaker campani e, con loro, quello di Caterina Biasiucci, Claudia Brignone e Lea Dicursi, tutor del team “Procida Film Atelier 2022” diretto da Di Costanzo.
Il film è stato proiettato nella selezione “fuori concorso” del festival e, contestualmente, inserito nella ristrettissima lista di dieci opere in lizza per il “Pardo Verde Ricola” (foto) perché valorizza tematiche legate a sostenibilità, ecologia e rapporto tra uomo ed ecosistema.
Unica opera italiana, “Procida” è premiata con la seguente motivazione: La memoria di un’isola attraverso gli occhi di una comunità di giovani registi, che conservano i miti e i riti della terra e del mare. Attraverso un approccio onesto e un montaggio notevole, il film restituisce un senso di comunità, con il sapore della solidarietà, dei rapporti transgenerazionali, della coscienza ambientale e di una possibilità/potenziale utopia.
Locarno/ Special mention to the film “Procida. Stories from the island through the eyes of 12 young filmmakers
The 76th Locarno Film Festival gives space to young people. In this frame, in fact, a special mention was given to “Procida”, a collective film produced by the Campania Region and the Film Commission with the coordination of Parallel 41 Productions and made last year on the island Italian Capital of Culture by 12 young filmmakers (aged between 17 and 25) at the end of a training work directed by Leonardo Di Costanzo.
Stories, places and souls, to build a cross-section of Procidan life, which caught the interest of the jury (filmmakers Firouzeh Khosrovani and Moussa Sene Absa and director and producer Arami Ullón), which awarded the work of the Campania neo-filmmakers and, with them, that of Caterina Biasiucci, Claudia Brignone and Lea Dicursi, tutors of the “Procida Film Atelier 2022” team directed by Di Costanzo.
The film was screened in the out-of-competition section of the festival and at the same time included in the very short list of ten works competing for the “Pardo Verde Ricola” (photo), because it highlights issues related to sustainability, ecology and the relationship between man and the ecosystem.
The only Italian work, “Procida”, is awarded with the following motivation The memory of an island through the eyes of a community of young filmmakers who preserve the myths and rituals of land and sea. Through an honest approach and remarkable editing, the film restores a sense of community, with the flavor of solidarity, transgenerational relationships, environmental awareness and a possibility/potential utopia.
