Conca dei Marini. Dal 15 al 17 settembre tre appuntamenti, aperti a tutti, animeranno le serate nel borgo abbracciato alle alture dei Monti Lattari tra Amalfi e Positano e che si estende fino a Capo di Conca con terrazzamenti sul mare. Protagonista del festival, che intende favorire l’incontro tra arti e territori per promuoverne il valore e la cura, sarà proprio uno dei luoghi più suggestivi di Conca dei Marini: il teatro all’aperto, collocato nei pressi della Chiesa di San Pancrazio, ricavato dalla naturale pendenza del terreno e che apre a scenari e suggestioni a picco sul mare.
Frangenti Festival, progetto a cura dell’associazione culturale Ablativo, conferma la propria vocazione multidisciplinare con le tre sezioni dedicate a diverse forme espressive, dal cantautorato italiano, al teatro di narrazione, a spettacoli tout-public con attività per bambini.
«Felice delle prospettive che stanno aprendosi e della comunanza di intenti – afferma il direttore artistico Vincenzo Albano. La storia marinara di Conca, non tralasciando quella contadina, richiama fortemente la metafora che titola il festival, quella delle onde frangenti. E le metafore sono potenti, aprono porte all’immaginazione».
Ospite della sezione #live – parole e musica d’autore, il 15 settembre alle ore 21, sarà Giovanni Block, che proporrà in band con Masnada i brani del suo ultimo album, Retrò, con richiami alla musica d’autore degli anni 80 e ai grandi poeti della nostra letteratura, da Paoli a Dalla, da Gaber a Gaetano, da De Andrè a Guccini, citando Quasimodo e cantando Pavese.
A rappresentare la sezione #stories – il teatro che racconta, sabato 16 settembre sempre alle ore 21, Scena Verticale e il teatro di Saverio La Ruina, che con Dissonorata vince, tra gli altri, due premi UBU, “Migliore attore italiano” e “Miglior testo italiano”, e riceve una nomination come “Migliore interprete di monologo” al Premio ETI – Gli Olimpici del Teatro. Ad accompagnare La Ruina, le musiche eseguite dal vivo dal polistrumentista Gianfranco De Franco.
Partendo dalla “piccola”, ma emblematica storia di una donna calabrese, lo spettacolo offre uno spunto per una riflessione sulla condizione della donna in generale. Risuonano molteplici voci di donne del sud, di madri, di nonne, di zie, di amiche. Dal racconto di La Ruina emerge una Calabria che anche quando fa i conti con la tragedia vi combina elementi grotteschi e surreali, talvolta perfino comici, sempre sul filo di un’amara ironia.
Ospite della sezione #kids – spettacoli e attività per bambini e famiglie è Il Teatro nel Baule con lo spettacolo Ufficio Parole Smarrite, di Simona Di Maio e Sebastiano Coticelli, con Carla Guardascione e Sebastiano Coticelli. Lo spettacolo si terrà alle 19.30, ma sarà preceduto alle ore 18 dal laboratorio L’Ufficio Segreto, rivolto a bambini dai 6 agli 11 anni. Un’ora di gioco su alcune tecniche teatrali, che sveleranno ai piccoli partecipanti curiosità, retroscena e segreti divertenti sull’arte del teatro. Una storia che avrà diversi momenti interattivi: saranno proprio i bambini a riempire le scatole di parole che gli attori utilizzano durante la narrazione e al termine, come regalo, ogni bambino donerà una parola importante, da non perdere mai, all’ufficio parole smarrite.

Questi primi tre appuntamenti in programma rappresenteranno, inoltre, una occasione ulteriore di rilancio del nostro Teatro all’aperto e portarlo all’attenzione di un pubblico sempre più attento e desideroso di eventi di questo tipo».

Frangenti Festival/ A weekend of theatre and music in the heart of the Amalfi Coast
From 15 to 17 September, three events, open to all, will enliven the evenings of Conca dei Marini, the village embraced by the heights of the Lattari Mountains between Amalfi and Positano and stretching as far as Capo di Conca with terraces overlooking the sea.
The protagonist of the festival, which intends to foster the encounter between arts and territories to promote their value and care, will be one of Conca dei Marini’s most evocative places: the Open Air Theatre, located near the Chiesa di San Pancrazio, carved out of the natural slope of the land and opening up to scenarios and suggestions overlooking the sea. Frangenti Festival, a project curated by the Ablativo cultural association, confirms its multidisciplinary vocation with its three sections devoted to different forms of expression, from Italian singer-songwriting, to narrative theatre, to tout-public performances with activities for children.
“I am delighted with the prospects that are opening up and the commonality of intentions,‘ says artistic director Vincenzo Albano. Conca’s seafaring history, not forgetting the rural one, strongly recalls the metaphor that gives the festival its title, that of the breaking waves. And metaphors are powerful, they open doors to the imagination’.
The guest of the #live – parole e musica d’autore section, on 15 September at 9 p.m., will be Giovanni Block, who will play in a band with Masnada the songs from his latest album, Retrò, with references to 80s singer-songwriter music and the great poets of our literature, from Paoli to Dalla, Gaber to Gaetano, De Andrè to Guccini, quoting Quasimodo and singing Pavese.
Representing the #stories – il teatro che racconta section, on Saturday 16 September, again at 9 p.m., Scena Verticale and the theatre of Saverio La Ruina, who with Dissonorata won, among others, two UBU prizes, ‘Best Italian actor’ and ‘Best Italian text’, and received a nomination as ‘Best monologue performer’ at the ETI – Gli Olimpici del Teatro award. Accompanying La Ruina is music performed live by multi-instrumentalist Gianfranco De Franco. Starting with the ‘small’ but emblematic story of a woman from Calabria, the show offers a cue for reflection on the condition of women in general. Multiple voices of southern women, mothers, grandmothers, aunts and friends resound. From La Ruina’s story emerges a Calabria that even when it comes to tragedy combines grotesque and surreal elements, sometimes even comic, always on the edge of bitter irony.
Guest of the #kids section – shows and activities for children and families is Il Teatro nel Baule with the show Ufficio Parole Smarrite, by Simona Di Maio and Sebastiano Coticelli, with Carla Guardascione and Sebastiano Coticelli. The show will be held at 7.30 p.m., but will be preceded at 6 p.m. by the workshop L’Ufficio Segreto (The Secret Office), for children aged 6 to 11. An hour of play on a number of theatrical techniques, which will reveal to the young participants curiosities, behind-the-scenes stories and amusing secrets about the art of theatre. A story that will have several interactive moments: it will be the children themselves who will fill the boxes with words that the actors will use during the narration, and at the end, as a gift, each child will donate an important word, never to be lost, to the lost words office.
