Dopo aver festeggiato i suoi primi dieci anni di vita, Wunderkammer lancia la nuova stagione (2023/24) tra teatro e musica. Una rassegna itinerante nei luoghi più suggestivi di Napoli che offre occasioni di cultura in spazi d’autore.
L’obiettivo: sviluppare percorsi creativi che avvicinino cittadini e turisti alla cultura e alla storia del territorio attraverso l’organizzazione di spettacoli in scenari artistici e storici di particolare bellezza paesaggistica. E nel corso di un decennio il pubblico è divenuto sempre numeroso: un legame che dimostra quanto le persone siano assetate di suggestioni in un mondo abbrutito da volgarità, corruzione e violenza.
In un decennio, Wunderkammer ha organizzato oltre 200 spettacoli e concerti, coinvolgendo 42 registi, oltre 120 attori, 105 musicisti e 30 drammaturghi.
Una grande famiglia che comprende artisti affermati e emergenti, tutti accomunati dalla tensione di popolare luoghi inconsueti con la propria voce, il proprio corpo, il proprio talento.
Tante le meraviglie (come il nome della rassegna Wunderkammer, suggerisce, ovvero camera delle meraviglie) che sono diventate palcoscenico dell’iniziativa: dal Museo Cappella Sansevero al Museo archeologico nazionale di Napoli (Mann), passando per il Museo Diocesano, Villa Pignatelli, San Martino e Gallerie d’Italia (Napoli), residenze private, studi professionali, showroom, persino un cimitero e un ospedale.
Un progetto di cultura partecipata, fondato sui concetti di condivisione e valorizzazione del patrimonio urbano. Con particolare attenzione ai giovani: Il 10% dei posti disponibili è totalmente gratuito e riservata ai minori di 28 anni per tutti gli spettacoli della rassegna. Grande riguardo anche per l’ambiente grazie a una politica plastic free nell’organizzare il programma.
Wunderkammer non è sostenuta da fondi pubblici ma supportata dal pubblico e da partner come lo studio di avvocati Cinque & soci di Milano, la Banca di Credito Popolare, Spinosa Costruzioni Generali S.p.A., Parallelo41 Produzioni, Gnosis Progetti e InLight Beauty cui quest’anno si è unito il Gruppo Tessile Imparato, BabelAdv e Jonglez Edizioni.
Da tempo al suo fianco anche Gay Odin, le cantine vinicole Mustilli, Salvatore Martusciello, Mila Vuolo, Casebianche, Vigne di Malies, Lunarossa, Monserrato 1973.
E da tutto questo riparte la nuova stagione che inaugura la sezione teatrale venerdì 27 ottobre (nella chiesa di Sant’Agostino degli scalzi alle 21) proprio con uno spettacolo di Diego Nuzzo (architetto, scrittore, critico d’arte), anima della rassegna.
Lo spazio del mondo è il titolo in scena con Paolo Cresta. Questa la storia:
La mattina del 29 novembre del 1938 un uomo sale sulla torre della Ghirlandina a Modena e si getta nel vuoto.
In tasca aveva diverse banconote di grosso taglio e due lettere: una per il re e una per Mussolini. Il danaro serviva a evitare che i fascisti dicessero che si era ucciso per motivi economici.
L’uomo era, infatti, Angelo Fortunato Formìggini scrittore, bibliofilo ed editore prolifico ma, soprattutto, per il fascismo, ebreo. E subito dopo la promulgazione delle leggi razziali decide di compiere un gesto eclatante: di sfida, di orgoglio, di dignità. E il gesto viene visto da prospettive differenti.
Venerdì 10 novembre, al via, invece, la parte dedicata ai suoni con La musica di Bill Frisell proposto dal trio Pasquale Bardaro (vibrafono, tastiere) trio con Giuseppe Lo Popolo (chitarra), Nicola Ferro (trombone, tastiere).
Bill Frisell, tra i compositori e chitarristi più rappresentativi della sua generazione (1951), ha la capacità di riuscire con poche note a esporre l’essenza di un brano, senza inutili virtuosismi. Nel suo stile si può sentire la storia del jazz. Il concerto si svolgerà alle 21 nella chiesa di Santa Caterina da Siena (nella strada omonima, al civico 38).

Festival/ Wunderkammer between theater and music: (traveling) opportunities for culture in auteur spaces. It starts with Diego Nuzzo’s play “The Space of the world”
After having celebrated its first ten years of life, Wunderkammer launches the new season (2023/24) between theater and music. A traveling festival in the most evocative places of Naples.
Its objective: to develop creative paths that bring citizens and tourists closer to the culture and history of the area through the organization of shows in artistic and historical settings of particular scenic beauty.
And over the course of a decade the audience has become increasingly numerous: a bond that demonstrates how people thirst for suggestions in a world brutalized by vulgarity, corruption and violence.
In a decade over 200 shows and concerts were organised, involving 42 directors, over 120 actors, 105 musicians and 30 playwrights. A large family that includes established and emerging artists, all united by the tension of populating unusual places with your own voice, your own body, your own talent.
Many wonders (like the name of the Wunderkammer, chamber of wonders, announces) that have become the stage of the initiative: from the Sansevero Chapel Museum to the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (Mann), passing through the Villa Pignatelli and Diocesan Museum, San Martino and Gallerie d’Italia (Naples), private residences, professional offices, showrooms, even a cemetery and a hospital.
A participatory cultural project, based on the concepts of sharing and valorisation of urban heritage. With particular attention to young people: 10% of the available seats are totally free and reserved for under 28. Great respect also for the environment by adopting a plastic free policy in organizing the program.

Friday, November 10th, will kick off, instead, the part dedicated to sounds with The music of Bill Frisell proposed by the Pasquale Bardaro ( vibraphone, keyboards) trio-with Giuseppe Lo Popolo (guitar), Nicola Ferro (trombone, keyboards).
Bill Frisell, one of the most representative composers and guitarists
of his generation, has the ability to succeed with just a few notes to expose the essence of a piece without unnecessary virtuosity. In his style you can hear the history of jazz. The concert will take place at 9 p.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church (on the street of the same name, number 38).
