“Salvador Torres ed Enzo Trepiccione: un dialogo artistico tra segno e narrazione“. La nuova mostra (foto) proposta dall’associazione Movimento Aperto guidata da Ilia Tufano in via Duomo 290/C, presenta un binomio creativo che corre sul ponte culturale Italia- Spagna, attraverso la rielaborazione, a 4 mani, di vecchie carte geografiche: il casertano Trepiccione, che dopo aver vissuto a Parigi, nel 2002 arriva a Valencia, e Torres, originario di Cartagena, ma radicato in Spagna. La mostra è introdotta dal testo dell’artista Mario Lanzione e resterà aperta fino al 25 gennaio 2024 (il lunedì e il martedì ore 17-19, il giovedì ore 10.30-12.30 ed eventualmente su appuntamento chiamando il numero 3332229274).
Gli interventi pittorici interrompono la pretesa oggettività delle carte geografiche nella loro convenzionale rappresentazione: monti, lagune , fiumi, città sono tutti al loro posto, tutti segnati come ci aspettiamo, nessuno presente nelle sue particolari forme.
Il tempo è fermo. I confini tra uno stato e gli altri hanno un ruolo da protagonista: tagliano il mondo in tante parti attraverso recinzioni invalicabili; anche la guerra affiora e sembra un gioco quasi innocente.
A proposito delle opere esposte, scrive Lanzione: «Quella di Salvador Torres è una pittura sorprendente poiché va oltre ogni certezza. I corpi, che sembrano svuotati come manichini senza anima, trasmettono una spiritualità che è al limite tra una realtà percepibile nella sua iconografia e una verità nascosta di personaggi che vivono il dramma dell’esistenza umana sempre in bilico tra l’egoismo e la necessità di proporre un mondo migliore».
Mentre, riferendosi a Trepiccione, ne mette in rilievo la spontanea operatività pittorica «in una simmetria tra un pensiero oggettivamente esistente e una propria soggettività rappresentata attraverso raffigurazioni di figure stilizzate, riprodotte in “casellari della memoria”, di case, alberi e fiori, eseguite con una linea di contorno spessa, forte, immediata e veloce».
Un dialogo artistico tra segno e narrazione ma anche un “viaggio” dentro e fuori la storia, dentro e fuori un percorso geografico tra Cartagena, Alicante e Napoli.

“Salvador Torres and Enzo Trepiccione: an artistic dialogue between sign and narrative.” The new exhibition proposed by the Movimento Aperto association led by Ilia Tufano in via Duomo 290/C in Naples starting tomorrow on Thursday, December 28th, at 5 p.m., presents a creative partnership that runs on the Italy-Spain cultural bridge, through the reworking, by 4 hands, of old maps: the Casertan artist Trepiccione, who after living in Paris, arrives in Valencia in 2002, and Torres, originally from Cartagena. The exhibition is introduced by artist Mario Lanzione’s text and will be open until January 25th, 2024 (Mondays and Tuesdays 5-7 p.m., Thursdays 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and by appointment if necessary by calling 3332229274).
The pictorial interventions interrupt the pretended objectivity of maps in their conventional representation: mountains, lagoons , rivers, cities are all in place, all marked as we expect, none present in its particular forms.
Time stands still. The borders between one state and another play a central role: they divide the world into many parts with insurmountable fences; even war appears and seems to be an almost innocent game.
About the works on display, Lanzione writes: “Salvador Torres’ painting is surprising because it goes beyond any certainty. The bodies, which seem to be emptied like soulless mannequins, convey a spirituality that is on the borderline between a perceivable reality in its iconography and a hidden truth of characters who live the drama of human existence, always in balance between selfishness and the need to propose a better world”.
While, referring to Trepiccione, he highlights his spontaneous pictorial operation “in a symmetry between an objectively existing thought and his own subjectivity, represented through the depiction of stylized figures, reproduced in “memory boxes”, of houses, trees and flowers, executed with a thick, strong, immediate and fast contour line”.
An artistic dialogue between sign and narrative, but also a “journey” in and out of history, in and out of a geographical path between Cartagena, Alicante and Naples.
