“Siamo tutti in-significanti”. Una frase per annunciare la mostra che non c’è ancora, nello spazio artistico Movimento aperto, in via Duomo 290C, guidato da Ilia Tufano . Verrà inaugurata domani, giovedì 7 marzo, dalle 17 alle 20 e proporrà un’installazione e una performance che coinvolgerà tutti/e.
Cuore dell’iniziativa, un banner di oltre quattro metri con la scritta che abbiamo anticipato :”Siamo tutti in-significanti”. Stefano Taccone, studioso della neoavanguardia napoletana, nel testo che accompagna la mostra e verrà pubblicato nel catalogo che sarà presentato alle fine della mostra, chiarisce la dinamica espositiva: «Su una parete lo sfondo nero e le lapidarie parole, oggi stampate in digitale ma adoperando il carattere delle lettere che servono … a Peppe Pappa e compagni per condurre “guerriglie semiologiche” in uno spazio pubblico che equivale solo e soltanto a quello urbano. Sulla parete opposta un semplice specchio, capace di includere, loro malgrado, ciascuno degli spettatori nell’opera…». Un invito alla riflessione.
Oggi, nel nuovo millennio, i social sono capaci di influenzare persino i nostri desideri e quella di Peppe Pappa potrebbe essere una provocazione a ribellarsi a questa manipolazione nemmeno tanto occulta. Basta partecipare per vedere cosa accadrà e quali saranno le reazioni di chi entra in galleria.
Peppe Pappa ha una lunga storia artistica intrecciata all’attivismo politico: nel 1975 è alla Quadriennale di Roma e l’anno successivo alla Biennale di Venezia con gli artisti operatori nel sociale individuati dallo storico dell’arte Enrico Crispolti. Si dedica anche a performance minime edalla Mail Art. All’associazione culturale Movimento aperto ha presentato, tra l’altro, anche la personale” Proiettili a disposizione” . Un titolo coerente con la sua energia creativa.

“We are all in-significant.” A sentence to announce the exhibition that is not yet there, in the art space Movimento aperto, at 290C via Duomo, in Naples, led by Ilia Tufano. Peppe Pappa has a long artistic history intertwined with political activism: in 1975 he participated in the Rome Quadriennale and the following year in the Venice Biennale with artists working in the social sphere, as identified by art historian Enrico Crispolti. He was also involved in minimalist performances and mail art. At the cultural association Movimento aperto, he presented, among other events, the solo exhibition “Bullets at disposal”. A title that matches his creative energy.
