Estate en plein air. Piazza del Plebiscito diventa palcoscenico dal 9 al 16 agosto. 24 spettacoli in otto giorni con: Valerio Lundini, Nicola Piovani, James Senese, Serena Brancale, Paolo Caiazzo, Roy Paci, Ebbanesis, le special guest Massimiliano Gallo e Vincenzo De Lucia, gli spettacoli dei 100 alliev* dell’Accademia C.I.O.E.’ – il nuovo talent di RaiPlay – e otto giovani band napoletane. L’ingresso è gratuito.
Napoli è pronta ad accogliere la quarta edizione di “Restate a Napoli”, rassegna estiva finanziata dal Comune di Napoli, che ha la direzione artistica di Lello Arena. La manifestazione promette di consolidare il suo trionfo grazie alla partecipazione di circa 100 mila persone nella passata edizione e milioni di contatti online.
Lo scopo è offrire a turisti/e e alla cittadinanza spettacoli dal vivo con artisti differenti, provenienti dal panorama nazionale con un forte richiamo a quelli partenopei, per valorizzare i giovani dando loro un palcoscenico prestigioso e offrendo un momento concreto per mettersi alla prova e ricevere visibilità.
Spiega il sindaco Manfredi che l’ha fortemente voluta: «La quarta edizione propone al pubblico napoletano e ai numerosi turisti in città spettacoli dal vivo di musica, danza e teatro completamente gratuiti. Il palcoscenico di Piazza del Plebiscito vedrà la partecipazione, di nuovo, degli allievi dell’accademia diretta da Lello Arena, C.I.O.E, un’opportunità concreta di formazione – alla sua seconda edizione – per i giovani talenti di questa città. Ed è questo un passaggio fondamentale per la valorizzazione e lo sviluppo di competenze nel settore. L’investimento nella formazione di nuovi talenti – progetto condiviso anche nella cornice di Cohousing Cinema Napoli – è parte di un percorso che sostengo con convinzione e che vede, allo stato attuale, i suoi frutti nel fermento culturale che anima la città».
La rassegna non solo rappresenta un appuntamento culturale di rilievo, ma anche una significativa opportunità di lavoro per i lavoratori dello spettacolo dal vivo con l’impiego di oltre 500 professionisti tra artisti, tecnici, musicisti e personale di supporto. Inoltre l’evento avrà una ricaduta positiva sul turismo: nei giorni della manifestazione, cittadini e turisti potranno assistere a circa 5 ore di spettacoli al giorno, arricchendo la loro esperienza in città e uno svago nella brezza serale circondati dalla magnificenza della piazza.
La scelta del luogo non è casuale. Piazza del Plebiscito, simbolo della storia e della vita sociale napoletana, sarà teatro naturale che ha già ospitato momenti significativi della città e che si trasformerà in scenario di condivisione, divertimento e arte, capace di accogliere un pubblico eterogeneo e appassionato.
Il programma è pensato per soddisfare tutti i gusti e tutte le età: dalla danza alla musica, dai canti popolari all’arte circense, fino ai grandi classici e agli autori contemporanei. L’obiettivo è quello di dare continuità alle programmazioni teatrali cittadine, coinvolgendo giovani, bambini e appassionati sin dalle prime ore della sera.
Tra gli spettacoli in programma vanno evidenziati quelli targati C.I.O.E.’ con i àcento allievi dell’accademia che negli ultimi tre mesi si sono formati sotto la direzione di Lello Arena. I giovani talenti dell’accademia porteranno in scena i loro spettacoli originali e saranno ripresi dalle telecamere di RaiPlay che manderà in onda, dal 22 ottobre, il nuovo talent made in Napoli sostenuto dal Comune.
Le serate saranno presentate dall’attore Biagio Musella con gli interventi comici di Alessandro Bolide e del trio “Gli Ancora No”; special guest Massimiliano Gallo e Vincenzo De Lucia in interventi tra teatro d’autore e comico. Poi spazio a tanta musica con il Premio Oscar Nicola Piovani, il fenomeno nazionale dell’urban jazz Serena Brancale, i ritmi latin ska del trombettista Roy Paci, la comicità surreale di Valerio Lundini, in scena con la sua live band, i concerti di diciotto tra band e solisti partenopei dove spicca Jovine con importanti ospiti e un Gala di Danza dell’ACSI. Infine il tributo a James Senese che torna ad esibirsi al Plebiscito dove incontrerà, dopo anni, Lello Arena.
Conclude il direttore artistico: «Restate a Napoli è un volano economico importante per gli artisti, gli operatori e le maestranze del settore spettacolo ma resta completamente gratuito per i turisti, per i napoletani che scelgono di non andare via ma di godersi queste giornate di vacanza nella città più bella del mondo, e per tutti quelli che sono costretti, non per loro scelta, a restare in città. Sarà una grande festa che vedrà Piazza del Plebiscito trasformarsi nel più sfarzoso e sontuoso teatro della città. 24 spettacoli in 8 giorni partendo dalle proposte che più profumano di futuro e che spesso sono partite dal palco di Restate a Napoli per raggiungere più rapidamente platee importanti, per passare poi per gli spettacoli della comunità d’arte C.I.O.E.’ che da tre mesi si sta formando a Napoli e che chiude la sua attività proprio durante l’evento, per arrivare ai grandi protagonisti della musica, della comicità, del teatro, della televisione che avranno il compito di chiudere le varie serate».
A documentare, dunque, l’intensità del cartellone sarà RaiPlay per svelare la conclusione di uno straordinario percorso d’arte diventato ora anche un nuovo format televisivo, pronto per andare in onda dal 22 ottobre prossimo. C.I.O.E.’ sarà perciò il primo talent a tenere le sue finali a Napoli e in Piazza del Plebiscito.
E adesso tocca al pubblico portare la polverina magica del successo, fatto di affluenza e applausi.

Academy – RaiPlay’s new talent – and eight young Neapolitan bands. Entrance is free!
Naples is ready to welcome the fourth edition of “Restate a Napoli”, the summer festival promoted by the Municipality of Naples and under the artistic direction of Lello Arena. The event promises to consolidate its triumph thanks to the participation of about 100,000 people in the last edition and millions of online contacts.
The aim is to offer tourists and citizens live shows with different artists from the national scene with a strong Neapolitan appeal, to promote young people by giving them a prestigious stage and a concrete moment to prove themselves and gain visibility.
Mayor Manfredi, who strongly wanted it, explains: “The fourth edition offers the Neapolitan public and the many tourists in the city live performances of music, dance and theater, completely free of charge. The stage of Piazza del Plebiscito will once again see the participation of the students of the academy directed by Lello Arena, C.I.O.E, a concrete training opportunity – in its second edition – for the young talents of this city. And this is an important step in the improvement and development of skills in the field. The investment in the training of new talents – a project also shared within the framework of Cohousing Cinema Napoli – is part of a path that I support with conviction and that currently sees its fruits in the cultural ferment that animates the city”.
The Festival is not only an important cultural event, but also a significant employment opportunity for the live performance sector, with the employment of more than 500 professionals, including artists, technicians, musicians and support staff. In addition, the event will have a positive impact on tourism: on the days of the event, citizens and tourists will be able to attend approximately 5 hours of performances per day, enriching their experience in the city and enjoying the evening breeze in the splendor of the square.
The choice of venue is not accidental. Piazza del Plebiscito, a symbol of Neapolitan history and social life, will become a natural theater that has already hosted important moments in the city and will be transformed into a space for sharing, entertainment and art, capable of welcoming a diverse and passionate audience.
The program is designed to satisfy all tastes and ages: from dance to music, from folk songs to circus arts, from great classics to contemporary authors. The aim is to give continuity to the city’s theatrical program, involving young people, children and fans from the early hours of the evening.
Among the scheduled shows, the “C.I.O.E.” shows with the 100 students of the academy, who have been training for the last three months under the direction of Lello Arena, should be highlighted. The young talents of the Academy will perform their original shows and will be filmed by the cameras of RaiPlay, which will broadcast, starting from October 22nd, the new talent made in Naples, supported by the City.
The evenings will be hosted by actor Biagio Musella with comic interventions by Alessandro Bolide and the trio “Gli Ancora No”; special guests Massimiliano Gallo and Vincenzo De Lucia in interventions between auteur theater and comedy. Then a lot of music with the Oscar winner Nicola Piovani, the national urban jazz phenomenon Serena Brancale, the Latin ska rhythms of trumpeter Roy Paci, the surreal comedy of Valerio Lundini, on stage with his live band, concerts by eighteen Neapolitan bands and soloists, where Jovine stands out with important guests, and an ACSI dance gala. Finally, the tribute to James Senese, who returns to perform at the Plebiscito, where he will meet, after years, Lello Arena.
Concludes the artistic director: “Rest in Naples is an important economic driver for artists, operators and workers in the entertainment industry, but it remains completely free for tourists, for Neapolitans who choose not to leave but to enjoy these vacation days in the most beautiful city in the world, and for all those who are forced, not by choice, to stay in the city. It will be a great festival that will transform Piazza del Plebiscito into the most opulent and sumptuous theater of the city. 24 shows in 8 days, starting with the most futuristic proposals, which have often started from the stage of Restate in Naples, in order to reach the most important audiences more quickly, to the shows of the C.I.O.E. artistic community, which has been formed in Naples for three months and which closes its activities exactly during the event, to the great protagonists of music, comedy, theater and television, who will have the task of closing the various evenings”.
So, to document the intensity of the billboard, RaiPlay will unveil the conclusion of an extraordinary artistic journey that has now also become a new TV format, ready to be broadcast from October 22nd. C.I.O.E.’ will be the first talent to hold its finals in Naples and in Piazza del Plebiscito.
And now it’s up to the public to bring the magic powder of success, made of participation and applause.
