“Un bacio di troppo”. Prendo il volo tra molte selezioni, il corto scritto da Dave Given e diretto da Vincenzo Lamagna. Dopo un intenso percorso festivaliero, continua a promuoversi benissimo presentandosi a numerose manifestazioni cinematografiche. Tra queste il Social World, il Napoli Film Festival, Cortisonanti, il Premio Carpine Visciano e il BCT.
L’opera nasce da un’idea di Dave Given, classe 1984 matematico di giorno, scrittore e sceneggiatore di notte reso già celebre per le sue pubblicazioni con PAV Edizioni (”L’amore è un apostrofo nero tra le parole distinti e distanti”, “Parentesi aperta” e “Un cuore nel sogno”).
Il film è una delicata metafora della vulnerabilità dei sentimenti umani: una storia profonda che nasconde, sotto gli intrecci di gelosia, paranoia e sensualità, un’attenta analisi degli archetipi riscontrabili nella nostra società.
Cura la regia Vincenzo Lamagna, regista e fondatore della NaNo Film, associazione culturale campana, e della sua spin off NaNo Film Production, casa di produzione cinematografica indipendente.
La storia è quella di Ciro, che subito dopo aver sposato Maria scopre che quest’ultima potrebbe essere stata infedele durante l’addio al nubilato. Inizia così a mettere in dubbio le sue scelte di vita e persino la sua identità.
Maria, interpretata da Fernanda Pinto (conosciuta al grande pubblico come protagonista della web factory “Casa Surace”, attualmente promettente attrice partenopea) incarna le convenzioni sociali, quello che la società impone; Ciro, interpretato da Gianluca Di Gennaro (attore napoletano che respira l’aria del palcoscenico sin da bambino) rappresenta la crisi d’identità, il bisogno di crescere avendo il coraggio di lasciarsi alle spalle l’immaturità della giovinezza ed infine Fabrizio, a cui dà il volto Vittorio Nastri (giovane attore napoletano), che personifica il sentimento puro e sincero, in grado di scardinare convenzioni e limiti stabiliti.
Il corto è stato acquistato da ShortTv, che l’ha distribuito in SVOD su Amazon IT, UK, US ed è attualmente in trattativa per la vendita in Francia.
The short film/ “One kiss too many”: from Campania to the USA, a story of hurt feelings
“One kiss too many. This short film, written by Dave Given and directed by Vincenzo Lamagna, flew among many selections. After an intense festival run, it continues to promote itself with presentations at numerous film events. These include Social World, Naples Film Festival, Cortisonanti, Carpine Visciano Award and BCT.
The work is an idea of Dave Given, mathematician by day, writer and screenwriter by night, already known for his publications with PAV Editions (“Love is a Black Apostrophe Between Distinct and Distant Words”, “Open Parenthesis” and “A Heart in a Dream”).
The movie is a delicate metaphor for the vulnerability of human feelings: a profound story that, under the intertwining of jealousy, paranoia and sensuality, hides a careful analysis of the archetypes found in our society.
Vincenzo Lamagna, director and founder of NaNo Film Production, a Campania-based cultural association, and its spin-off NaNo Film Production, an independent film production company, is directing.
The story is about Cyrus who, shortly after marrying Maria, discovers that she may have been unfaithful to him during their bachelorette party. He begins to question her life choices and even her identity.
Maria, played by Fernanda Pinto (known to the general public as the star of the web factory “Casa Surace”, currently a promising Neapolitan actress), embodies social conventions, what society imposes; Ciro, played by Gianluca Di Gennaro (a Neapolitan actor who has breathed the air of the stage since childhood), represents the identity crisis, the need to grow up, to have the courage to leave behind the immaturity of youth; and finally Fabrizio, whose face is given by Vittorio Nastri (a young Neapolitan actor), who embodies the pure and sincere feeling, able to unhinge the established conventions and limits.
The short film has been acquired by ShortTv, which has distributed it on SVOD on Amazon IT, UK, US and is currently negotiating its sale in France.
