Un’isola di arte e benessere. Capodimonte in questi ultimi anni ha recuperato luce e splendore. E non solo per i capolavori della pinacoteca ammirati dal pubblico del mondo intero anche grazie alla recente mostra organizzata al Louvre di Parigi ma anche perché il suo spazio verde è rinato grazie ad ampliamenti ad hoc. Ed è stato con l’orgoglio della rinascita che il direttore tedesco Eike Schmidt ha presentato ieri i nuovi traguardi.
Il Percorso dedicato al fitness nella natura è raddoppiato, da 2.574 m a 4.615 con 25 stazioni di allenamento in totale. E’ stato anche inaugurato il secondo campo da calcio a 5, altrettanto accessibile gratuitamente con l’inserimento di nuovi arredi nel verde. Tutto questo rientra nel progetto “Capodimonte giardino di inclusione e creatività nell’anno europeo dei giovani” elaborato e realizzato dal Museo e Real Bosco in collaborazione con la Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri.
Commenta Schmidt: «In nessun altro luogo al mondo credo sia possibile fare sport e praticare percorsi di benessere e relax, liberamente, tra tanta storia e bellezza. Questa inaugurazione è per noi l’inizio anticipato di una primavera ricca di attività che vedrà il Real Bosco protagonista. Proseguono intanto il restauro dei viali sui tracciati settecenteschi, gli interventi di manutenzione per aumentare la sicurezza e la vita delle piante e gli importanti lavori Pnrr».
Il Real Bosco di Capodimonte, con i suoi 134 ettari e 400 diverse specie vegetali è uno dei più estesi parchi urbani d’Italia, il polmone verde della città di Napoli. Riunito con la Reggia Museo dal 2015, è una realtà storica, ambientale, botanica e sociale unica, tutelata dall’Unesco. Con presenze annuali stimate oltre i due milioni e mezzo, è oggi sempre più un luogo della cultura e del benessere dove si incrociano arte, storia, patrimonio vegetale, spazio pubblico, area attrezzata per gli sport e numerose discipline outdoor, opportunità di trascorrere giornate a contatto con la natura al centro della città e di usufruire di aree pic nic e anche di aree create per far muovere liberamente i cani.
ll circuito fitness comprende spalliere, sbarre multifunzione, panche e appoggi con anche indicazioni per esercizi a corpo libero. Le strutture sono molto robuste e stabili, composte da esclusivi elementi di legno lamellare tornito cilindrico (130mm) certificato PEFC-FSC in quanto ricavato da foreste a prelievo controllato. Le parti metalliche sono zincate a caldo e verniciate per resistere all’esterno. Il secondo campo di calcio a 5 (m.33,50 x 20,00) è stato realizzato in sostituzione del campo in terra battuta. Anche le aree pic nic sono state incrementate: installati 10 nuovi tavoli per adulti in legno con panche e 10 tavoli per bambini.

An island of art and wellness. Capodimonte has regained its light and splendour in recent years. Not only because of the masterpieces in its art gallery, admired by the world thanks to the recent exhibition at the Louvre in Paris, but also thanks to the rebirth of its green spaces with ad hoc extensions. And it was with pride in this regeneration that the German director, Eike Schmidt, presented the new achievements yesterday.
The Nature Fitness Trail has doubled in size, from 2,574 m to 4,615 m, with a total of 25 training stations. The second 5-a-side football pitch was also inaugurated, also free of charge, with new furniture in the green area. All this is part of the “Capodimonte Garden of Inclusion and Creativity in the European Year of Young People” project, developed and implemented by the Museum and Real Bosco in collaboration with the Prime Minister’s Office.
Schmidt comments: “Nowhere else in the world, I believe, it’s possible to enjoy sports, wellness and relaxation in the midst of so much history and beauty. For us, this inauguration is the early start of a spring of activities in which the Real Bosco will play a leading role. Meanwhile, the restoration of the avenues along the 18th century paths, the maintenance works to increase the safety and life of the plants and the important Pnrr works will continue”.
The Real Bosco di Capodimonte, with its 134 hectares and 400 different species of plants, is one of the largest urban parks in Italy, the green lung of the city of Naples. Reunited with the Reggia Museum since 2015, it is a unique historical, environmental, botanical and social reality, protected by Unesco. With an estimated two and a half million visitors a year, it is increasingly becoming a place of culture and wellness, where you can find art, history, botanical heritage, public space, an area equipped for sports and numerous outdoor disciplines, opportunities to spend days in contact with nature in the centre of the city and enjoy picnic areas and even areas designed for dogs to run free.
The fitness circuit is made up of wall bars, multi-function bars, benches and supports, with indications for free body exercises. The structures are very sturdy and stable, made of exclusive glued laminated wood (130 mm), certified PEFC-FSC, coming from controlled forests. The metal parts are hot-dip galvanised and painted for outdoor use. The second 5-a-side football pitch (33.50m x 20.00m) was built to replace the clay pitch. The picnic areas have also been enlarged: 10 new wooden tables for adults with benches and 10 tables for children were installed.
