Artisti uniti per la pace. Primo appuntamento della rassegna cinematografica Mediterranea. Cinema e musica tra i due mondi a cura dell’associazione 15 06. Venerdì 8 dicembre alle 19 all’Auditorium Santa Luisa di Marillac di Napoli, dopo una breve presentazione con drink di benvenuto, ci sarà la proiezione di Yiddish, documentario della regista olandese Pamela Sturhoofd, girato insieme ad una delle cantanti più note di questo particolare genere, Shura Lipovsky.
La musica yiddish è molto antica, ha avuto e ha un’importanza capitale per l’unione dei popoli del Mediterraneo. Seguirà un breve dibattito con Shura Lipovsky e il pubblico, una performance di canto Yiddish e il Concerto per la Pace con l’Orchestra Mediterranea Uhanema del Maestro Vincenzo Romano (foto), Shura Lipovsky e la flautista Marjolijn van Roon.
La rassegna Mediterranea. Cinema e musica tra i due mondi è dedicata all’incontro tra il pubblico napoletano e differenti culture. Ideata e diretta dalla regista Elisa Flaminia Inno, riunisce a Napoli autrici e registe che da questa città sono partite per esplorare il mondo o che vi sono tornate per ritrovarsi, insieme a storie di donne vicine per geografia e cultura, ma lontane per condizione esistenziale.
Le registe e le protagoniste dei film saranno presenti in sala e protagoniste di incontri e masterclass aperte al pubblico.
Prossimi appuntamenti: giovedì 14 dicembre con una giornata dedicata al cinema della regista Alina Marazzi, lunedì 18 dicembre con la giovane regista salernitana Chiara Marotta, e mercoledì 20 dicembre incontro con la regista Elisa Flaminia Inno, le protagoniste del docu-film Donne di Terra, oltre il concerto live delle Assurd.
L’iniziativa è promossa e finanziata dal Comune di Napoli nell’ambito della rassegna Altri Natali, parte del progetto Natale a Napoli 2023 realizzato col finanziamento della Città Metropolitana di Napoli e del Comune di Napoli.

Other Christmas/ Artists united for peace: Mediterranea, cinema and music between the two worlds
Artists united for peace. First edition of the film festival Mediterranea. Cinema and music between the two worlds, curated by the association 15 06. On Friday, December 8th, at 7 p.m., at the Santa Luisa di Marillac Auditorium in Naples, after a short presentation with a welcome drink, there will be a screening of Yiddish, a documentary by the Dutch director Pamela Sturhoofd, filmed together with one of the most famous singers of this particular genre, Shura Lipovsky.
Yiddish music is very old and is of paramount importance in uniting the peoples of the Mediterranean. This will be followed by a short discussion with Shura Lipovsky and the audience, a performance of Yiddish songs and the Concert for Peace with Maestro Vincenzo Romano’s Uhanema Mediterranean Orchestra, Shura Lipovsky and flautist Marjolijn van Roon.
The Festival Mediterranea. Cinema and music between the two worlds is dedicated to the encounter between Neapolitan audiences and different cultures. Conceived and directed by Elisa Flaminia Inno, it brings together in Naples women writers and directors who have left the city to explore the world or have returned to find themselves, along with stories of women close in geography and culture but distant in existential condition.
The directors and protagonists of the films will be present in the hall and will be introduced in meetings and master classes open to the public.

Upcoming events: Thursday, December 14th with a day dedicated to the cinema of director Alina Marazzi, Monday, December 18th with the young director from Salerno, Chiara Marotta, and Wednesday, December 20th meeting with director Elisa Flaminia Inno, the protagonists of the docu-film Women of Earth, as well as the live concert of the Assurd.
The initiative is promoted and financed by the Municipality of Naples within the framework of the “Other Christmas” series, part of the “Christmas in Naples 2023” project, which is financed by the Metropolitan Municipality of Naples and the City of Naples.
