Paola Cortellesi apre il marzo del cineforum di ArciMovie al Pierrot di Ponticelli (foto), nella zona orientale della città. Dieci titoli e protagonisti dello spettacolo accompagneranno gli spettatori fino a maggio con l’obiettivo di creare momenti di cultura ed esperienze di condivisione tra il pubblico di Napoli e dintorni.
La sala di via De Meis, infatti, è l’unica attiva nella popolosa zona orientale ed è tra quelle più belle in tutta la metropoli grazie ai recenti lavori di restyling. La qualità delle proiezioni e dell’acustica e gli spazi super-accoglienti sono diventati un punto di forze dell’iniziativa dell’associazione Arci Movie che si batte per portare sempre più persone al cinema attraverso una varietà di film per far riflettere, ricordare, sorridere e divertire.
Sottolinea il presidente di Arci Movie, Roberto D’Avascio: «Film di qualità, ospiti importanti, socialità ritrovata e una sala nuova e accogliente. Arci Movie continua incessantemente la sua attività a Ponticelli a partire dal Cineforum con i suoi oltre seicento soci e con un cinema Pierrot che è diventato bellissimo, la sala più nuova e più bella di Napoli».
Il cineforum di Arci Movie proseguirà ogni martedì e mercoledì con appuntamenti sia alle ore 18 che alle 21. Ad aprire la seconda parte del Cineforum è il successone il film “C’è ancora domani”, esordio alla regia dell’attrice e comica romana Paola Cortellesi che sarà sul grande schermo il 5 e il 6 marzo 2024 accompagnato dalla sceneggiatrice e scrittrice Viola Ardone. Un’ccasione per riflettere sull’impegno civico dietro l’opera che ha catturato l’attenzione di milioni di persone e che merita ancora di essere ammirato.
La settimana dopo, il 12 e 13 marzo, si proietta “The Old Oak”, l’opera dell’apprezzatissimo Ken Loach che ci catapulta in una ex cittadina mineraria del nord est dell’Inghilterra raccontando una storia particolare. Il film sarà presentato da Sandro Ruotolo, già senatore ed ex giornalista.
A seguire, il 19 e 20 marzo c’è “L’anima in pace”, film di Ciro Formisano che incontrerà il pubblico del Pierrot per presentare la storia di Dora, protagonista della pellicola, 25enne che lotta per riscattarsi da una famiglia e da un passato difficili tra povertà e delinquenza. L’ultima di marzo, il 26 e il 27, c’è “Ferrari”, film di Michael Mann che ricostruisce la vita dell’ex pilota e del costruttore delle auto più famose al mondo.
Aprile sarà un mese ricco di ospiti per la rassegna ospitata nella nuova sala di Ponticelli. Renato Carpentieri interverrà il 2 aprile, alla proiezione del film “Palazzina Laf” di Michele Riondino, per festeggiare con i soci di Arci Movie i suoi 81 anni. Il film racconta il lato più difficile della vita degli operai dell’ex Ilva di Taranto e la vita di tanti addetti del complesso industriale che per punizione sono stati demansionati e piegati psicologicamente per spingersi alle dimissioni. Sarà sul grande schermo il 2 e il 3 aprile.
È ambientato a Napoli, invece, “Nata per te”, film di Fabio Mollo in programma il 9 e 10 aprile. Racconta la storia di Luca e Alba, un uomo e una bambina che hanno disperatamente bisogno l’uno dell’altra anche se il mondo intorno a loro non sembra ancora pronto a vederli insieme. L’opera sarà presentata dal regista che incontra il pubblico insieme all’attrice Teresa Saponangelo e a Luca Fella Trapanese, persona che ha ispirato la pellicola, attivista per i diritti delle persone con disabilità, oggi assessore alle politiche sociali della Città di Napoli.
La settimana seguente, il 16 e 17 aprile, c’è “Io capitano”, successone di Matteo Garrone che racconta la tragicità del viaggio dei migranti che raggiungono l’Italia dopo mesi di sofferenze fisiche e psicologiche. Seguiranno, il 23 e 24 aprile e il 7 e l’8 maggio le proiezioni di due film che saranno scelti dai soci del cineforum attraverso la votazione tra una rosa selezionata da Vincenzo Mauriello, curatore della rassegna nonché presidente onorario dell’associazione di Napoli Est.
Ultimo appuntamento della kermesse è con “Comandante” di Edoardo de Angelis il 14 e 15 maggio che interverrà nella sala di via de Meis per introdurre il film che racconta l’eroica azione di Salvatore Todaro all’inizio della Seconda guerra mondiale.

Arcie Movie/ Paola Cortellesi opens the March cineforum with her film “There’s still tomorrow”
Paola Cortellesi opens ArciMovie’s March cineforum at Pierrot in Ponticelli, in the eastern part of the city. Ten titles and stars of the show will accompany the audience until May with the aim of creating moments of culture and sharing experiences among audiences in and around Naples.
The hall in via De Meis, in fact, is the only active one in the populous eastern area and is among the most beautiful ones in the whole metropolis thanks to recent restyling works. The quality of the screenings and acoustics and the super-accommodating spaces have become a strength of the initiative of the Arci Movie association, which strives to bring more and more people to the cinema through a variety of films to make people think, remember, smile and have fun.
Stresses Arci Movie president Roberto D’Avascio: “Quality films, important guests, newfound sociability and a new and welcoming hall. Arci Movie unceasingly continues its activities in Ponticelli starting with the Cineforum with its more than six hundred members and with a Pierrot cinema that has become beautiful, the newest and most beautiful hall in Naples.”
Arci Movie’s cineforum will continue every Tuesday and Wednesday with appointments at both 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Opening the second part of the Cineforum is the hit film “There’s Still Tomorrow,” the directorial debut of Roman actress and comedian Paola Cortellesi, who will be on the big screen on March 5th and 6th, 2024 accompanied by screenwriter and writer Viola Ardone. An occasion to reflect on the civic engagement behind the work that captured the attention of millions and still deserves to be admired.
The following week, on March 12th and 13th, we will screen “The Old Oak,” the work of the highly acclaimed Ken Loach that catapults us into a former mining town in the northeast of England telling a peculiar story. The film will be presented by Sandro Ruotolo, former senator and former journalist.
Next up, on March 19th and 20th, is “L’anima in pace,” a film by Ciro Formisano who will meet with the Pierrot audience to present the story of Dora, the film’s protagonist, a 25-year-old who struggles to redeem herself from a difficult family and past amid poverty and delinquency. Last in March, on March 26 and 27, is “Ferrari,” a film by Michael Mann that reconstructs the life of the former driver and manufacturer of the world’s most famous cars.
April will be a month full of guests for the festival hosted by the new Ponticelli hall. Renato Carpentieri will speak on April 2nd, at the screening of Michele Riondino’s film “Palazzina Laf,” to celebrate with Arci Movie members his 81st birthday. The film recounts the more difficult side of the lives of workers at the former Ilva plant in Taranto and the lives of so many employees of the industrial complex who were demeaned and psychologically bent out of shape to resignation as punishment. It will be on the big screen on April 2nd and 3rd.
It is set in Naples; instead, “Nata per te,” a film by Fabio Mollo is scheduled for April 9th and 10th. It tells the story of Luca and Alba, a man and a little girl who desperately need each other, even though the world around them does not yet seem ready to see them together. The work will be presented by the director, who will meet the audience together with actress Teresa Saponangelo and Luca Fella Trapanese, the person who inspired the film. He is an activist for the rights of people with disabilities who is now a councilor for social policies for the City of Naples.
The following week, on April 16th and 17th, is “Io capitano,” Matteo Garrone’s blockbuster about the tragic journey of migrants who reach Italy after months of physical and psychological suffering. This will be followed on April 23rd and 24th and May 7th and 8th by screenings of two films that will be chosen by cineforum members through voting from a shortlist selected by Vincenzo Mauriello, curator of the festival as well as honorary president of the East Naples association.
The last appointment of the kermesse is with “Comandante” by Edoardo de Angelis on May 14th and 15th. He will speak in the via de Meis hall to introduce the film that recounts the heroic action of Salvatore Todaro at the beginning of World War II.
