Fort. È il nuovo singolo di Maldestro di cui è autore del testo e coproduttore della musica insieme al producer endly (Giuseppe Caliendo).
Dopo le uscite di Preludio, Famiglia Criminale e Vogl sta cu’ te, con cui l’artista partenopeo ha decisamente virato in maniera decisa verso sonorità “urban” ed espressioni tipiche degli ultimi anni, grazie all’utilizzo del rap e della lingua napoletana sancendo di fatto il sodalizio con endly il nuovo singolo (in uscita oggi sabato 14 ottobre per Arealive/Believe) rappresenta una ballad hip hop che fonde il rap alla canzone melodica.
Spiega l’autore: «Fort è una vera dichiarazione d’amore, un abbraccio che salva gli esseri umani dal buio. In sintesi, esprime la volontà di uscire dallo schema terrestre e approdare su un altro pianeta».
Con 5 album all’attivo e una carriera ricca di prestigiosi riconoscimenti tra cui il Premio Ciampi, il Premio Siae, il Premio De André, il secondo posto nella categoria “Miglior album d’esordio” alle Targhe Tenco 2015 per il disco “Non trovo le parole” e la vittoria del Premio della critica Mia Martini, del premio Enzo Jannacci e del premio Lunezia con il brano “Canzone per Federica” presentato al Festival di Sanremo 2017 nella categoria “Nuove proposte”, Maldestro torna con un nuovo brano con cui sceglie di sparigliare le carte.
Il rap coma forma di espressione: «L’ho sempre amato – racconta – ma negli ultimi anni pare che molti di quelli che lo cantano hanno perso un po’ la bussola. L’hip hop è nato per rivoluzionare, per dissentire. Oggi invece è una battle per dimostrare chi è più capitalista dell’altro. Si fa la conta delle view, dei platini e il sistema ringrazia. Certo, tutti vorremmo fare un disco d’oro, ma senza mettere il risultato davanti all’intenzione. Allora ho deciso di svoltare per un’altra strada, di consegnare ad Antonio Prestieri (il suo vero nome ndr) il timone che avevo lasciato a Maldestro. Nell’epoca dei filtri io non ne avrò e questo basta per essere se stessi».
Chi è
Maldestro, all’anagrafe Antonio Prestieri (classe 1985) è un cantautore italiano attivo dal 2015, vincitore di numerosi premi tra cui il Premio della Critica del Festival della canzone italiana Mia Martini nel 2017 quando si classificò al 2° posto a Sanremo Giovani. Attualmente sta lavorando alla sceneggiatura di un film ispirato alla sua vita, ad alcuni spettacoli teatrali e al suo nuovo progetto musicale che descrive così:

Endly (Giuseppe Caliendo) è un producer campano. Ha collaborato e prodotto brani per Clementino, The Rivati, Achex, Big Effe. Nell’album “Black Pulcinella” di Clementino ha prodotto i brani “Amore lo-fi” (feat. Nicola Siciliano & Madame), “Revenge” (feat. Enzo Dong) e “Non Passa mai” (feat. La Nina & ENSI).
Nel 2023 inizia la collaborazione con Maldestro.
Arealive/ Maldestro launches new single “Fort”: a declaration of love that saves humans from darkness
14 October sees the release of ‘Fort’, Maldestro’s new single, for which he is the author of the lyrics and co-producer of the music with producer Endly.
After the releases of Preludio, Famiglia Criminale and Vogl sta cu ‘te, with which the Neapolitan artist has decisively veered towards ‘urban’ sounds and expressions typical of recent years, thanks to the use of rap and the Neapolitan language, effectively sanctioning the partnership with producer endly (Giuseppe Caliendo), the new single For (label Arealive/Believe) is a hip hop ballad that fuses rap and melodic song.
Maldestro, in presenting the track, states: ‘Fort is a true declaration of love, an embrace that saves human beings from darkness. In short, it expresses the will to get out of the terrestrial pattern and land on another planet’.
With five albums under his belt and a career full of prestigious awards, including the Ciampi Award, the Siae Award, the De André Award, second place in the ‘Best debut album’ category at the 2015 Targhe Tenco for the album ‘Non trovo le parole’, and the victory of the Mia Martini Critics’ Award, the Enzo Jannacci Award and the Lunezia Award with the song ‘Canzone per Federica’ presented at the 2017 Sanremo Festival in the ‘Newcomers’ category, Maldestro returns with a new song with which he chooses to shake things up.
On the choice of rap as a form of expression, Maldestro says: ‘I have always loved rap, but in recent years it seems that many of those who sing it have lost their bearings a bit. Hip hop was born to revolutionise, to dissent. Today, instead, it is a battle to prove who is more capitalist than the other. You count the views, the platinums, and the system thanks you. Sure, we would all like to make a gold record, but without putting the result before the intention. So I decided to take a different route, to hand over to Antonio Prestieri the helm I had left to Maldestro. In the era of filters I will have none, and that is enough to be oneself’.
