Arte contemporanea al Real sito di Carditello. “The big archive 1994-2014” della coppia artistica Perino & Vele viene acquisita dalla Fondazione guidata da Maurizio Maddaloni e sarà inaugurata venerdì 19 luglio. L’installazione non si impone all’architettura che la ospita, ma si “dispone” in essa, ne entra a far parte, mettendo in connessione l’Appartamento reale con lo scenario urbano circostante.
Spiega il presidente: «La Fondazione ha deciso di stimolare un dialogo tra l’opera The Big Archive 1994-2014 di Perino & Vele e gli ambienti del recuperato sito borbonico. Una sfida ambiziosa che, oltre a rimpaginare i luoghi storici del territorio come spazi di interpretazione del contemporaneo, si propone di favorire su scala internazionale il dialogo nell’arte, espressione della realtà che circonda la Reale Delizia e la Campania Felix».
A rafforzare l’idea progettuale, in collaborazione con la Galleria Civica di Ptuj, la realizzazione di una mostra internazionale in Slovenia, da secoli crocevia di culture e luogo di incontro tra passato e presente.
Opera critica e civica, archivio di passato e catalizzatore di futuro di due artisti-cittadini, il “Grande Archivio” è una pratica artistica coerente, espressione di una civiltà che richiede all’arte di sintetizzare e condividere cosa rende tale una comunità. Composta da 66 cassette in ferro zincato e da 9 vasi in vetroresina catramata, di diverse forme e dimensioni – è stata realizzata nel 2014 per il Museo Madre di Napoli, dove è stata esposta in comodato gratuito per circa 7 anni.

Carditello/ Perino & Vele’s big (contemporary) archive comes to the Real site
Contemporary art in the Royal Palace of Carditello. The Bigt Archive 1994-2014″ by the artist couple Perino & Vele has been acquired by the Foundation and will be inaugurated on Friday, July 19th. The installation does not impose itself on the architecture in which it is housed, but “fits in” with it, becoming part of it and linking the Royal Apartment to the surrounding urban scenario.
The President Maurizio Maddaloni explains: “The Foundation decided to stimulate a dialogue between the work The Great Archive 1994-2014 by Perino & Vele and the surroundings of the recovered Bourbon site. An ambitious challenge that, in addition to transforming the historical places of the territory as spaces for the interpretation of the contemporary, aims to promote on an international scale the dialogue in art, an expression of the reality that surrounds the Royal Delight and Campania Felix”.
The strengthening of the project idea, in collaboration with the Ptuj Civic Gallery, is the creation of an international exhibition in Slovenia, for centuries a crossroads of cultures and a meeting place between past and present.
A critical and civic work, an archive of the past and a catalyst for the future of two artist-citizens, the “Great Archive” is a coherent artistic practice, an expression of a civilization that requires art to synthesize and share what makes a community one. Composed of 66 galvanized iron boxes and 9 tarred fiberglass vases of different shapes and sizes, it was made in 2014 for the Madre Museum in Naples, where it was exhibited on free loan for about 7 years.
