SubCulture, in collaborazione con Rockalvi e Flava Beach, presenta per la prima volta in Campania, per un’unica data al sud Italia, il live set del musicista e produttore Trentemøller, uno dei personaggi chiave della musica elettronica del ventunesimo secolo. Con lui sul palco ci sarà la band al completo per un concerto “indie” ed “elettronico” con brani estratti dal suo ultimo album dalle sonorità cupe e introspettive, motorik, shoegaze, noise rock e pop elettronico.
La serata si svolgerà sabato 9 settembre al Flava Beach di Castel Volturno (Caserta), ingresso euro 28 + diritti di prevendita (circuito Ticketone) con apertura porte alle 22.
Il concerto avrà inizio con il live elettronico dei Not me but us, duo composto da Bruno Bavota e K-Conjong. Dopo il live sarà il momento del consueto “Unconventional Party” con i dj set di Slevin Korei, Demon, Safiria e Whip.
Anders Trentemøller sta portando i suoi paesaggi sonori, che ha sapientemente creato nei suoi bellissimi album, in una nuova dimensione in cui l’indie si fonde con l’elettronica e il krautrock per dare vita ad una straordinaria esperienza. Dal vivo è accompagnato dall’artista solista islandese Disa (voce e chitarra) e poi Silas Tinglef (batteria), Brian Batz (chitarra, nonché l’uomo dietro la band dream pop/shoegaze Sleep Party People), e Jacob Haubjerg (basso), musicista anche lui per gli Sleep Party People e per i Savage Rose, oltre che nel suo progetto indie pop/post-punk Lustre.
Dopo un lungo periodo di stop, il nuovo album di Trentemøller “Memoria” è stato appositamente ideato per essere suonato dal vivo. Sul palco la band verrà affiancata dal leggendario lighting designer Leroy Bennett (già celebre per i lavori con Nine Inch Nails, Prince, Lady Gaga e Paul McCartney).
Mentre molti artisti seguono uno schema di invenzione e reinvenzione, l’arco produttivo di Anders Trentemøller è una serie di punti lungo la stessa curva, giocando con ogni uscita discografica come un capitolo successivo di una serie in costante evoluzione. Contrasti e paradossi vengono spesso esplorati, insieme ad altri temi che ruotano intorno alla reminiscenza e al ricordo, evitando però la nostalgia. Il suo ultimo album, “Memoria”, scava più a fondo e onora i cinque canoni della narrazione, che includono anche: inventio, dispositio, elocutio e pronuntiatio.
L’appuntamento è uno tra i attesi per il pubblico campano che troppo spesso non ha la chance di assistere a live di questo calibro. Per l’occasione gli organizzatori hanno pensato di far iniziare il live set ad una nuova band napoletana i Not me but us, composta da due nomi già affermati all’estero come Bruno Bavota (pianista e compositore che collabora con Temporary Residence e Believe Records) e Fabrizio Somma (compositore e producer noto con il moniker K-Conjog). Entrambi nati sotto il Vesuvio si sono ritrovati nella splendida isola di Procida per partecipare ad un evento legato alla città della cultura, realizzando un brano comune. L’interazione è stata talmente naturale e giocosa che la collaborazione (prevista per quell’evento) si è evoluta in tempi rapidissimi in qualcosa di molto più serio e complesso che ha portato i due a lavorare in studio insieme per diversi mesi. Il risultato è un disco in uscita a marzo del 2024 ed intitolato semplicemente “Two” per l’acclamata etichetta londinese Sonic Cathedral.

Catstel Volturno/ The Danish artist Trentemøller for the first time in Campania. At Flava beach in a live set of Indie-Electronic music
SubCulture, in collaboration with Rockalvi and Flava Beach, presents for the first time in Campania, for a single date in southern Italy, the live set of musician and producer Trentemøller, one of the key figures of 21st century electronic music. With him on stage will be the full band for an ‘indie’ and ‘electronic’ concert with tracks from his latest album featuring dark and introspective sounds, motorik, shoegaze, noise rock and electronic pop.
The event will take place on Saturday 9 September at Flava Beach in Castel Volturno (Ce), admission € 28 + presale fees (Ticketone circuit) with doors opening at 10 pm.
The evening will begin with an electronic live performance by Not me but us, a duo composed of Bruno Bavota and K-Conjong. After the live show, it will be time for the usual “Unconventional Party” with DJ sets by Slevin Korei, Demon, Safiria and Whip.
Anders Trentemøller is taking his soundscapes, which he has skilfully created on his beautiful albums, into a new dimension where indie merges with electronica and krautrock to create an extraordinary experience. Live, he is accompanied by Icelandic solo artist Disa (vocals and guitar) and then Silas Tinglef (drums), Brian Batz (guitar, as well as the man behind the dream pop/shoegaze band Sleep Party People), and Jacob Haubjerg (bass), also a musician for Sleep Party People and Savage Rose, as well as in his indie pop/post-punk project Lustre.

While many artists follow a pattern of invention and reinvention, Anders Trentemøller’s production arc is a series of points along the same curve, playing with each record release as the next chapter in a constantly evolving series. Contrasts and paradoxes are often explored, along with other themes revolving around reminiscence and remembrance, while avoiding nostalgia. His latest album, ‘Memoria’, digs deeper and honours the five canons of narration, which also include inventio, dispositio, elocutio and pronuntiatio.
The international event is one of the most eagerly awaited summer ones for the public in Campania, who often do not have the chance to attend live performances of this calibre. For the occasion, the organisers decided to start the live set with a new Neapolitan band, Not me but us, composed of two names already established abroad: Bruno Bavota (pianist and composer who works with Temporary Residence and Believe Records) and Fabrizio Somma (composer and producer known by the moniker K-Conjog).
Both born under Vesuvius, they came together on the beautiful island of Procida to participate in an event related to the city of culture, creating a joint piece. The interaction was so natural and playful that the collaboration (planned for that event) evolved very quickly into something much more serious and complex that led the two to work in the studio together for several months. The result is an album due out in March 2024 and simply titled ‘Two’ on the acclaimed London-based label Sonic Cathedral.
