I registi Mattia Colombo e Gianluca Matarrese a Napoli per presentare il documentario “Il posto”. Appuntamento al cinema Academy Astra di via Mezzocannone 109 per la rassegna Astradoc venerdì 14 aprile alle 20:30: alla serata prende parte anche il cast del film che è passato in numerosi festival internazionali tra cui i prestigiosi Visions du Réel di Nyon e Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival di Toronto.
Il documentario (Italia/Francia, 2022, 75’) – coproduzione italo-francese tra Altara Films (Firenze) e Bocalupo Films (Parigi) – è girato a bordo di un autobus speciale (foto), un affresco di storie che parlano di disoccupazione, mobilità, ma anche e soprattutto di sogni, aspirazioni e vita. Il Bus To Go, che parte da Salerno e attraversa l’Italia di notte, è un autobus pieno di giovani infermieri precari che se ne vanno al Nord a sostenere le prove dei maxi-concorsi pubblici.
Superare una prova è l’unico modo per ottenere un posto di lavoro in un ospedale pubblico e la disoccupazione in Italia ha raggiunto numeri così elevati che, ai concorsi, si presentano in migliaia. I posti a disposizione sono pochissimi e i precari devono tentare la sorte più e più volte. È l’autobus della speranza e in molti lo scelgono perché è più economico di treno e aereo e permette di risparmiare anche i soldi dell’hotel.
Spiega Mattia Colombo: «Il posto è un documentario “on the road” che riflette sul miraggio del posto fisso e sul dramma di una nazione alle prese con la disoccupazione, un viaggio nel cuore di una grande crisi sociale morale ed economica che non è solo italiana ma europea. Siamo entrati in contatto con le tragiche peculiarità che la caratterizzano: precarietà e nomadismo».
Mattia Colombo, 1982, è un documentarista, autore di sette lungometraggi e un cortometraggio. Sta lavorando, insieme a Valentina Cicogna, al progetto Sconosciuti puri, film documentario sull’attività del Labanof, laboratorio fondato dal medico legale Cristina Cattaneo che si occupa dell’identificazione dei “morti senza nome”.
Gianluca Matarrese, 1980, vive a Parigi dove ha studiato cinema e teatro. Nel 2008 ha iniziato a lavorare nella televisione francese, come sceneggiatore e regista per le sue serie comiche sui canali OCS trasmesse fino al 2012. In seguito ha continuato a lavorare come sceneggiatore, reporter e produttore nel settore dell’intrattenimento per oltre 25 programmi e su tutte le reti francesi. Lavora anche come attore per il cinema e il teatro in Francia.

Filmmakers Mattia Colombo and Gianluca Matarrese in Naples to present the documentary “The Place.” Appointment at the Academy Astra cinema in Via Mezzocannone 109 for the Astradoc showcase on Friday, April 14, at 8:30 p.m.: the cast of the film, which has passed through numerous international festivals including the prestigious Visions du Réel in Nyon and Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival in Toronto, will also take part in the evening.
The documentary (Italy/France, 2022, 75‘) – a French-Italian co-production between Altara Films (Florence) and Bocalupo Films (Paris) – is shot on board a special bus, a fresco of stories that speak of unemployment, mobility, but also and above all of dreams, aspirations and life. The Bus To Go, which leaves from Salerno and crosses Italy at night, is a bus full of young precarious nurses who leave for the North to take the tests of the maxi-public competitions.
Passing a test is the only way to get a job in a public hospital, and unemployment in Italy has reached such high numbers that, at competitions, thousands show up. There are very few places available, and the precarious have to try their luck over and over again. It is the bus of hope and many choose it because it is cheaper than trains and planes and saves even hotel money.
Mattia Colombo explains, ” Il Posto is an “on the road” documentary that focuses on the mirage of the permanent job and the drama of a nation grappling with unemployment, a journey into the heart of a great moral and economic social crisis that is not only Italian but European. We came into contact with the tragic peculiarities that characterize it: precariousness and nomadism.”
Mattia Colombo, born in 1982, is a documentary filmmaker and author of seven feature films and one short film. He is working, together with Valentina Cicogna, on the project Sconosciuti puri, a documentary film on the activities of Labanof, a laboratory founded by forensic scientist Cristina Cattaneo that deals with the identification of the “nameless dead.”
Gianluca Matarrese, 1980, lives in Paris where he studied film and theater. In 2008 he began working in French television, as a scriptwriter and director for his comedy series on the OCS channels broadcast until 2012. He later continued to work as a scriptwriter, reporter and producer in the entertainment industry for more than 25 programs and on all French networks. He also works as an actor for film and theater in France.
