“AstraDoc . Viaggio nel cinema del reale”. Al via la nuova stagione della rassegna di documentari curata da Arci Movie con l’Università Federico II, Parallelo 41 Produzioni e Coinor, con il patrocinio del Comune di Napoli, e ospitata al Cinema Academy Astra di Napoli in via Mezzocannone 109 (foto).
Venerdì 9 febbraio 2024 con un doppio appuntamento e due grandi film che raccontano la tragicità della vita del popolo palestinese a Gaza e nei pressi del muro tra Israele e Palestina.
Si parte alle ore 19, a ingresso gratuito, con il film “Erasmus in Gaza” (Spagna-Italia, 2021, 88’) di Chiara Avesani e Matteo Delbò, selezionato al Biografilm Festival di Bologna e in numerosi festival internazionali.
È la storia vera di Riccardo Corradini, il primo studente italiano ed europeo a compiere un Erasmus nella striscia di Gaza, per ben quattro mesi, nel 2019. Durante la sua permanenza si legherà ad altri studenti e ai giovani palestinesi restituendoci l’immagine di un popolo soffocato che non perde la speranza. La proiezione sarà accompagnata dagli interventi di Sara Borrillo, ricercatrice dell’Università Tor Vergata, e di Giovanna Maciariello, consigliere di Arci Campania e vicepresidente di ARCS Culture Solidali.
Si prosegue alle 21 con il film “200 metri” (Pal-Gio-Qat-Ita-Sve, 2020, 86’) di Ameen Nayfeh, al suo esordio alla regia di un lungometraggio, presentato alle Giornate degli Autori della 77a Mostra internazionale d’arte cinematografica di Venezia in cui ha vinto il Premio del Pubblico.
Racconta la storia di Mustafa che vive separato dalla sua famiglia, ad appena duecento metri di distanza, al di là della barriera israeliana. Fino a quando, dopo un incidente, gli impediranno di superare il confine per far visita al figlio e quei pochi metri diventeranno chilometri infiniti. Il film sarà introdotto dall’intervento del ricercatore indipendente e scrittore Iain Chambers.
Per questo secondo appuntamento si prevede un biglietto di ingresso di 5 euro, ridotto soci Arci 4 euro. L’incasso sarà devoluto, al netto delle spese sostenute, a favore della raccolta fondi “Emergenza Gaza” promossa da AOI per portare aiuti umanitari alla popolazione. La serata fa parte, inoltre, della campagna nazionale Arci “Palestina: con altri occhi. Visioni, parole e suoni per una pace giusta”.
La rassegna di Arci Movie andrà avanti ogni venerdì fino a maggio con ben sedici documentari accompagnati da registi, attori, autori e protagonisti del mondo della cultura, dello spettacolo e delle università.

“AstraDoc . Journey in the cinema of the real”. Kick-off of the new season of the documentary film festival curated by Arci Movie with Federico II University, Parallel 41 Productions and Coinor, under the patronage of the Municipality of Naples, and hosted at the Cinema Academy Astra in Naples at 109 Via Mezzocannone.
On Friday, February 9th, with a double date and two great films about the tragic life of the Palestinian people in Gaza and near the wall between Israel and Palestine.
It begins at 7 p.m., with free admission, with the film “Erasmus in Gaza” (Spain-Italy, 2021, 88′) by Chiara Avesani and Matteo Delbò, selected at the Biografilm Festival in Bologna and at numerous international festivals.
It is the true story of Riccardo Corradini, the first Italian and European student to go to the Gaza Strip as an Erasmus student, for a full four months in 2019. During his stay he will get in touch with other students and Palestinian youth, giving us back the image of a suffocated people who do not lose hope. Besides the screening, there will be speeches by Sara Borrillo, researcher at the University of Tor Vergata, and Giovanna Maciariello, consultant of Arci Campania and vice president of ARCS Culture Solidali.
It continues at 9 pm with the film “200 meters” (Pal-Gio-Qat-Ita-Sve, 2020, 86′) by Ameen Nayfeh, in his first feature film directorial debut, which was presented at the Venice Days of the 77th Venice International Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award.
It tells the story of Mustafa, who lives separated from his family, just two hundred meters away on the other side of the Israeli barrier. Until an accident prevents him from crossing the border to visit his son, and those few meters become endless miles. The film will be introduced by independent researcher and writer Iain Chambers.
Admission to this second event is expected to cost 5 euros, with a reduced rate of 4 euros for Arci members. Proceeds, after expenses, will be donated to AOI’s “Gaza Emergency” fundraising campaign to bring humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. The evening is also part of Arci’s national campaign “Palestine: with other eyes. Visions, words and sounds for a just peace”.
The Arci Movie Review will continue every Friday until May with up to sixteen documentaries accompanied by directors, actors, writers and protagonists from the world of culture, entertainment and universities.
