Il Palazzo Reale di Napoli si festeggia il Natale, non solo con il maestoso albero decorato sullo scalone d’onore e con il presepe settecentesco, ma anche con aperture straordinarie diurne e serali, visite guidate e iniziative speciali per ampliare l’offerta di visita.
Da oggi 8 dicembre ai piedi dell’imponente “albero dei Desideri”, i visitatori troveranno un grande pacco regalo che accoglierà le lettere con i messaggi dei bambini, ma anche degli adulti, che potranno essere imbucate per tutto il periodo natalizio, fino all’Epifania. Una selezione dei messaggi ricevuti sarà pubblicata sui canali social di Palazzo Reale il 6 gennaio 2024.
Riflettori nel periodo natalizio sul presepe napoletano dalle collezioni Intesa Sanpaolo con l’allestimento permanente, in una sala al termine del percorso di visita dell’Appartamento di Etichetta. L’opera, composta da più di 210 tra pastori e personaggi, oltre agli animali e ben 144 accessori, è stata realizzata da celebri artisti del ‘700 napoletano, tra cui Giuseppe Sanmartino – autore del celebre Cristo Velato – e Francesco Celebrano, ed è tra le più ricche rappresentazioni dell’arte presepiale del ’700 napoletano.
Numerose, dicevamo, le aperture straordinarie: in occasione della Festa dell’Immacolata Concezione, si potrà entrare dalle 20 alle 24 al costo ridotto di 3 euro, che sarà replicata negli stessi orari anche sabato 30 dicembre
Mercoledì 20 e 27 dicembre Palazzo Reale non chiuderà per il consueto giorno di chiusura settimanale e aprirà i battenti dalle 9 alle 13, per favorire i flussi turistici durante il periodo natalizio
E, poi, iniziative speciali come “Il sabato dei depositi. Visite guidate ai depositi di arredi e opere d’arte di Palazzo Reale. Sabato 16 dicembre, infatti, sarà accessibile il Deposito Foriera collocato in spazi anticamente di servizio alla e attualmente utilizzato per conservare arredi ottocenteschi per la maggior parte provenienti dalle sale che oggi ospitano la Biblioteca Nazionale “Vittorio Emanuele III”. Le visite su prenotazione sono fissate alle ore 10 e alle 11,30.
E, ancora, martedì 19 dicembre, alle 18, il concerto dei Virtuosi di Sansevero nel Teatro di Corte con musiche di Britten, Bloch e Bruch. L’ingresso è gratuito, ma su prenotazione, inviando una richiesta all’indirizzo: fondazionenapolitano@gmail.com.

The Royal Palace of Naples celebrates Christmas not only with the majestic decorated tree on the monumental staircase and the 18th-century crib, but also with extraordinary daytime and evening openings, guided tours and special initiatives to widen the range of visits.
From today, December 8, at the foot of the impressive “Wish tree”, visitors will find a large gift box that will receive letters with messages from children and adults that can be sent throughout the Christmas season until Epiphany. A selection of the messages received will be published on the Royal Palace’s social channels on January 6, 2024.
During the Christmas period, the Neapolitan crib from the Intesa Sanpaolo collections will be on permanent display in a room at the end of the tour route in the Label Apartment. The work, composed of more than 210 figures and shepherds, animals and no less than 144 accessories, was created by famous Neapolitan artists of the 1700s, including Giuseppe Sanmartino – author of the Veiled Christ – and Francesco Celebrano, and is one of the richest representations of Neapolitan crib art of the 1700s.
Extraordinary openings are numerous: on the occasion of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, you can enter from 8 p.m. to midnight at a reduced price of 3 euros, which will be repeated at the same times on Saturday, December 30th.
On Wednesday, December 20th and 27th, the Royal Palace will not close for the usual weekly closing day and will open its doors from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to encourage tourist flows during the Christmas period.
And then, special initiatives such as “Saturday of the Deposits. Guided tours of the deposits of furniture and works of art in the Royal Palace. On Saturday, December 16th, in fact, the Foriera Depot, located in former service rooms and currently used to store 19th century furnishings, mostly from the rooms that now house the “Vittorio Emanuele III” National Library, will be accessible. Guided tours by appointment are scheduled at 10:00 and 11:30.
Finally, the exhibition dedicated to the Neapolitan painter Domenico Morelli 200 years after his birth, which will open on December 14th in the Royal Chapel.
