“Bonjour, maman”. Bambine e bambini crescono parlando lingue straniere come il francese che diventa un amico. E scandisce i giorni della settimana trascorsi tra i banchi, giocando e imparando a conoscere un orizzonte diverso.
Accade già a Napoli, alla scuola Alexandre Dumas diretta da Laurent Bonicel che ha sede nel Palazzo Grenoble di via Crispi, 86: qui piccole/i allieve/i dalla materna compiono i primi passi verso una società multiculturale capace di aprire loro le porte del mondo.
Ma c’è una novità: adesso già da 2 anni hanno l’opportunità di costruirsi un futuro poliglotta (mentre prima l’accesso era possibile dai 3 in su). E per accogliere le nuovissime leve, la scuola Dumas ha organizzato una giornata a porte aperte, sabato 8 giugno, dalle 9 alle 11.
Non solo verranno ospitati genitori e bambini già inseriti nel prossimo anno scolastico, ma sarà anche presentato il programma di formazione per la primissima infanzia, base di partenza per quel percorso che li guiderà fino alle medie. Dopo, potranno proseguire gli studi nel sistema scolastico italiano o scegliere di rimanere all’interno del sistema educativo francese andando al prestigioso Lycée Chateaubriand di Roma.
Una decisione, quella di abbassare l’età d’ingresso, generata anche dalla richiesta delle stesse famiglie che hanno figlie/i più grandi iscritte/i, soddisfatte del metodo didattico concentrato su un apprendimento plurilingue (italiano e inglese, inclusi) che permette di sviluppare pensiero critico e di acquistare, più facilmente, un’elasticità mentale adatta alla realtà odierna, in continua evoluzione.
La scuola è frequentata da circa 200 alunni di oltre 11 nazionalità e il 90% di questi sono italiani. Omologata dal sistema educativo nazionale francese e riconosciuta dallo stato italiano con accordi bilaterali, offre la possibilità di crescere in uno spazio di elevato livello formativo grazie a un personale altamente qualificato.
Per la fascia dei 2 anni, sono previsti un insegnante e due assistenti, uno part time, l’altro a tempo pieno. Inoltre, sarà messa a disposizione una stanza dove bambine e bambini potranno riposare.
Il francese è la seconda lingua ufficiale più utilizzata dopo l’inglese. Parlato da oltre 274 milioni di persone su scala mondiale, è fortemente radicato in Africa, nelle Antille, in Louisiana, in Libano, nel Sud-Est Asiatico, e in Canada, soprattutto in Québec.

École Alexandre Dumas in Naples/ “Bonjour, maman”: children begin to speak French at the age of 2. A (multicultural) education that opens doors to the world
“Bonjour, maman”. Children grow up speaking foreign languages like French, which becomes a friend. And it punctuates the days of the week spent between desks, playing and learning about a different horizon.
This is already happening in Naples, at the Alexandre Dumas School, directed by Laurent Bonicel and located in the Palazzo Grenoble in Via Crispi 86: here, from kindergarten on, young children take their first steps towards a multicultural society that can open the doors of the world to them.
But there is a novelty: now they have the opportunity to build a polyglot future from the age of 2 (whereas previously access was possible from the age of 3).
And to welcome the newest recruits, the Dumas School has organized an open house on Saturday, June 8th, from 9 to 11 am.
Not only will parents and children who have already enrolled for the next school year be welcomed, but also the very early childhood education program will be presented, the starting point for the path that will take them to middle school. After that, students can continue their studies in the Italian school system or choose to remain in the French educational system by attending the prestigious Lycée Chateaubriand in Rome.
The decision to lower the age of admission was also made at the request of the same families who have enrolled older daughters, satisfied with the teaching method focused on multilingual learning (including Italian and English), which allows them to develop critical thinking and to more easily acquire a mental elasticity adapted to today’s ever-changing reality.
