“I Bach a Berlino“. Un nuovo appuntamento proposto al pubblico dalla Fondazione Pietà de’ Turchini nell’ambito della stagione concertistica 23/24 dal titolo Frequenze inaudite.
Sabato 17 febbraio 2024, alle 19 nella chiesa di Santa Caterina da Siena di Napoli. Ospite, l’ensemble Accademia Ottoboni (foto), tra i più accreditati nel panorama del repertorio barocco su strumenti storici, con Manuel Granatiero nel ruolo di flautista solista (nato a Napoli e cresciuto a Roma, vive e lavora attualmente in Olanda), che regalerà uno sguardo su alcune pagine di Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, all’ombra del padre Johann Sebastian Bach e sulla corte di Federico II di Berlino.
Una rilettura delle su pagine, analizzando il rapporto con il padre in un contesto musicale raffinato quale la corte di Berlino di Federico II, monarca della Prussia e virtuoso del flauto.
Focus sui diversi periodi della vita del compositore, attraverso l’alternarsi di strumenti diversi per tutte le sonate , ciascuno modellato su un originale che corrisponde alla data di composizione.
Il programma oltre a comprendere la famosa Sonata per flauto solo wq132 del 1747 scritta per il re, prevede la sonata in sol minore BWV1020 con il cembalo obbligato che Carl Philipp Emanuel scrisse a due mani con il padre nella casa di Lipsia, la sonata wq124 scritta nel 1737 negli anni di studio a Francoforte, la Wq128 e la Sonata di J.S.Bach BWV1034 entrambe scritte per la corte di Berlino nel 1741 e, infine, una fantasia per cembalo solo Wq117 del 1747.
Il concerto ha il patrocinio della società bachiana Italiana con cui la Fondazione ha avviato un dialogo continuativo.

“The Bachs in Berlin”. A new event proposed to the public by the Fondazione Pietà de’ Turchini within the framework of the concert season 23/24 with the title “Inaudible frequencies”.
On Saturday, February 17th, 2024, at 7 p.m. in the Church of St. Catherine of Siena in Naples. Guest, the ensemble Accademia Ottoboni (photo), among the most accredited in the panorama of the Baroque repertoire on historical instruments, with Manuel Granatiero as flutist soloist (born in Naples and raised in Rome, he currently lives and works in the Netherlands), who will give a view of some pages of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, in the shadow of his father Johann Sebastian Bach, at the court of Frederick II of Berlin.
A reinterpretation of his pages, analyzing the relationship with his father in a refined musical context such as the Berlin court of Frederick II, monarch of Prussia and flute virtuoso.
Focus on the different periods of the composer’s life through the alternation of different instruments for all the sonatas, each based on an original corresponding to the date of composition.
In addition to the famous Sonata for solo flute Wq132 of 1747, written for the king, the program includes the Sonata in G minor BWV1020 with harpsichord obbligato, which Carl Philipp Emanuel wrote for two hands with his father in the Leipzig house, the Sonata Wq124, which he wrote in 1737 during his years of study in Frankfurt, the Sonata Wq128 and the Sonata by J. S. Bach BWV1034, both written for the Berlin court, and finally a Fantasy for solo harpsichord Wq117 of 1747. S. Bach BWV1034, both written for the Berlin court in 1741, and finally a fantasia for solo harpsichord Wq117 from 1747.
The concert is under the patronage of the Italian Bach Society, with which the Foundation has established an ongoing dialog.
