Sul palco del Belvedere di Villa Rufolo l’Orchestra Filarmonica G.Verdi di Salerno assieme alla Salerno Jazz Orchestra diretta da Demo Morselli, autore degli arrangiamenti, in collaborazione con Tony Renis. Scaletta aperta con All the way, Just As Though You Were Here, Night And Day e pubblico già in visibilio trascinato dall’energia di un Grigolo perfettamente a proprio agio nelle vesti inedite di crooner.
La platea della Città della musica, che spesso si è lasciata trascinare da Grigolo cantando insieme agli artisti sul palco, ha potuto ascoltare le versioni tra le altre di I’ve got the world on a string, The very thought of you, The one I love belongs to somebody else, For once in my life, I’m a fool to want you e Someone to watch over me. Nei tre bis, richiesti da una platea tutta in piedi, non solo per la straordinaria performance di Grigolo ma anche per il risultato d’insieme, Sometingh stupid, per la seconda volta My way e New York New York.
Nel post concerto piccola cerimonia condotta dal presidente della Fondazione Ravello, Dino Falconio che ha consegnato al Maestro Alessio Vlad un gioiello, fatto realizzare per l’occasione, come riconoscimento del lavoro e dei risultati conseguiti alla direzione artistica del Festival.

Sold out and ticket hunt in the last hours to be able to attend the very special concert: 20 songs chosen to retrace the career of one of the most extraordinary performers in the history of international music who boasts more than one thousand eight hundred songs in more than two hundred albums, sixty-two films, hundreds of TV programs, dozens of awards in a career spanning 65 years.
On stage at the Belvedere of Villa Rufolo the G.Verdi Philharmonic Orchestra of Salerno along with the Salerno Jazz Orchestra conducted by Demo Morselli, author of the arrangements, in collaboration with Tony Renis. The set list opened with All the way, Just As though you were here, Night and day and the audience was already in ecstasy dragged by the energy of a Grigolo perfectly at ease in the unusual guise of crooner.
The Music City audience, which often got caught by Grigolo singing along with the artists on stage, was delighted to hear versions of I’ve got the world on a string, The very thought of you, The one I love belongs to somebody else, For once in my life, I’m a fool to want you and Someone to watch over me, among others. In the three encores, requested by an all-standing audience, not only for Grigolo’s extraordinary performance but also for the overall result, Sometingh stupid, for the second time My way and New York New York.
In the post-concert, a little ceremony conducted by the president of the Ravello Foundation, Dino Falconio, who gave Maestro Alessio Vlad a jewel, made for the occasion, in appreciation of his work and achievements as artistic director of the Festival.
