Si chiama Walter Rolando Attanasio. E vi aspetta nel suo atelier 11, 12 e 13 agosto, in via Carbonara 26, pel piccolo centro di Sant’Angelo a Scala, in provincia di Avellino.
L’iniziativa è inserita nel programma comunale “Vicoli vivi”: avrete la possibilità di trascorrere una serata nella casa dove il poeta pittore lavora da più di 30 anni.
Qui, nella sua galleria di pietra, alle pendici del monte Vallatrone, un’ antica montagna del Partenio potrete dialogare con lui e ammirare le opere di mostre precedenti che hanno coinvolto il territorio Irpino: Kepler 999, Eterica e quest’ ultima Antenati.
Walter Rolando Attanasio si firma WRA e spesso anche lord Attanasio o Athanor ( il forno degli alchimisti antichi per la digestione alchemica ).
Antenati, come spiega lui stesso, «è un viaggio nella memoria attraverso le anime dei defunti… essi rivivono nelle immagini dipinte su tela in olio o acrilico attraverso una mente che oltrepassa il tempo e li dipinge dal vivo nel 1940-1950. Oltrepassare la barriera del tempo e quindi della morte per poter dipingere dal vivo personaggi che sono attualmente morti, e quindi farli rivivere e renderli partecipi di un contemporaneo, immersi nella nostra realtà».

Irpinia/ Sant’Angelo a Scala: an evening among the “ancestors” of the poet/painter Walter Rolando Attanasio
His name is Walter Rolando Attanasio. And he is waiting for you in his studio on the 11th, 12th and 13th of August, in Via Carbonara 26, in the small town of Sant’Angelo a Scala, in the province of Avellino.

Walter Rolando Attanasio signs himself as WRA and often also as Lord Attanasio or Athanor (the furnace of the ancient alchemists for the alchemical digestion).
Ancestors, as he explains, “is a journey through the souls of the departed…they come alive in images painted on canvas in oil or acrylic by a mind that transcends time and paints them alive in 1940-1950. To go beyond the barrier of time, and therefore death, to paint live characters that are currently dead, thus reviving them and making them part of a contemporary, immersed in our reality”.
