Rendez-vous. Il titolo parla chiaro. Incontro, ma non solo con il pubblico, ma anche in famiglia. Perché questa mostra, a cura di Carmen D’Antonino e Francesca Pirozzi, inaugurata con successo nello scorso weekend alla galleria Spazio Arte Petrecca di Isernia, propone (fino al 31 maggio) un appuntamento imperdibile, con una coppia d’arte, Clara Garesio e Giuseppe Pirozzi.
E celebra un incontro avvenuto nel 1958 all’Istituto Statale d’Arte G. Manuppella del comune molisano, dei due giovani docenti artisti che avrebbero poi cominciato un progetto di vita insieme, partendo da un’affinità umana, intellettuale e artistica.
Clara Garesio espone una summa della propria ricerca artistica sul solco della grande tradizione ceramica italiana, rinnovata dal suo inesauribile slancio creativo, dalla seconda metà del Novecento ai giorni nostri.
Potente scultore e maestro dell’Accademia di belle arti napoletane, Giuseppe Pirozzi prepone un corpus di sculture di media e piccola dimensione, a tutto tondo e ad altorilievo, in terracotta ingobbiata e in bronzo fuso a cera persa, e una piccola selezione di gioielli-scultura in argento e di disegni: tutti pezzi unici risalenti a diversi periodi del suo lungo percorso artistico.
L’esposizione rappresenta una sorta di ritorno alle origini. Isernia, infatti, città storicamente legata alla cultura preromana e con una tradizione artigianale radicata, è stata per loro una fonte di ispirazione suggerita dal dialogo della memoria con la storia.
Torinese, classe 1938, Garesio, frequenta nella città natale la Civica Scuola d’Arte Ceramica. Prosegue gli studi a Faenza, diplomandosi presso l’Istituto d’Arte per la Ceramica G. Ballardini. Da allora è docente di discipline artistiche nella scuola pubblica e poi per la Società Umanitaria, mentre conduce una personale e continua ricerca nel campo ceramico, pur praticando anche altri mezzi espressivi, tra cui disegno, pittura e assemblage.
Nato nel 1934 a Casalnuovo di Napoli, il pluripremiato Giuseppe Pirozzi dal 2000 è accademico scultore dell’Accademia Nazionale di San Luca. Sue opere si trovano in collezioni pubbliche e private in Italia e all’estero e, quale vincitore di concorsi nazionali realizza numerose opere per spazi pubblici.

Rendez- vous. The title speaks for itself. A rendezvous not only with the public, but also with the family. Because this exhibition, curated by Carmen D’Antonino and Francesca Pirozzi and successfully inaugurated last weekend at the Spazio Arte Petrecca gallery in Isernia, offers (until the 31st of May) an unmissable rendezvous with an artistic couple, Clara Garesio and Giuseppe Pirozzi.
It is a celebration of the meeting that took place in 1958 at the G. Manuppella State Art Institute in Molise, between the two young art teachers who would later embark on a lifelong project based on a human, intellectual and artistic affinity.
Clara Garesio presents a summa of her artistic research in the wake of the great Italian ceramic tradition, renewed by her inexhaustible creative impulse, from the second half of the 20th century to the present day.
A powerful sculptor and master of the Neapolitan Academy of Fine Arts, Giuseppe Pirozzi has put together a body of small and medium-sized sculptures, both in the round and in high relief, in terracotta engobed and in bronze cast in lost wax, as well as a small selection of silver sculptures, jewellery and drawings: all unique pieces from different periods of his long artistic career.
The exhibition is a kind of return to his origins. Isernia, a town historically linked to pre-Roman culture and with a deep-rooted tradition of craftsmanship, was a source of inspiration for him, suggested by the dialogue between memory and history.
Born in Turin in 1938, Garesio attended the Civica Scuola d’Arte Ceramica in her native city. She continued her studies in Faenza, graduating from the G. Ballardini Art Institute of Ceramics. Ballardini. Since then she has been teaching art disciplines in the public school and then for the Società Umanitaria, while carrying out personal and continuous research in the field of ceramics, also practising other means of expression such as drawing, painting and assemblage.
Born in 1934 in Casalnuovo di Napoli, Giuseppe Pirozzi has received numerous awards and has been an academic sculptor at the Accademia Nazionale di San Luca since 2000. His works are in public and private collections in Italy and abroad, and he has won numerous national competitions for public works.
