Bullismo e cyberbullismo: cosa si può fare? Da questo interrogativo parte la mostra interattiva (foto) allestita fino all’11 febbraio a Benevento a Palazzo Paolo V in Corso Garibaldi (ingresso dalle 10 alle 18). L’iniziativa ha il patrocinio gratuito del Comune ed è curata da volontari della locale comunità dei Testimoni di Geova, coinvolgendo le scolaresche del territorio.
L’esposizione, tra pannelli e video, offre consigli utili per affrontare con successo la sfida del bullismo e del cyberbullismo tratti da un’insolita quanto straordinaria fonte: la Bibbia.
Secondo una statistica delle Nazioni Unite, nel mondo 1 studente su 3, tra i 13 e i 15 anni, ha vissuto esperienze di bullismo. Anche il cyberbullismo è in sensibile aumento. Il 24% degli adolescenti campani dichiara di aver avuto esperienze di questo tipo. Questo è il dato che emerge da una ricerca condotta dal dipartimento Scienze Sociali dell’Università “Federico II” di Napoli.
Ricorda Marco: «Già dalle elementari ero preso di mira perché vivevo al nord e la mia famiglia veniva dal sud Italia. Mi insultavano perché ero sovrappeso, così mi sono chiuso in me stesso e sono arrivato a pesare quasi 100 chili».
Dunque, gli effetti dannosi del bullismo hanno implicazioni molto ampie sulle relazioni sociali delle vittime, che si sentono braccate, perseguitate, isolate e senza speranza. La loro salute fisica e mentale ne risente (mal di testa, dolori allo stomaco, mancanza di appetito e disturbi del sonno), e alcuni arrivano a provare un malessere che li spinge addirittura al suicidio.

The exhibition in Benevento/ When the Bible offers helpful tips against (cyber)bullying
Bullying and cyberbullying: what can be done? This interrogative is the starting point for an interactive exhibition that will be on display in Benevento’s Palazzo Paolo V, on Corso Garibaldi, until February 11th (entrance from 10 am to 6 pm). The initiative has the free patronage of the city and is curated by volunteers from the local Jehovah’s Witness community. Students from area schools are invited to attend.
The exhibit, including panels and videos, offers useful tips for successfully dealing with the challenge of bullying and cyberbullying from an unusual and extraordinary source: the Bible.
According to United Nations statistics, one in three students between the ages of 13 and 15 has experienced bullying. Cyberbullying is also on the rise. 24% of teenagers in Campania say they have experienced it. This is the result of a study carried out by the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University “Federico II” of Naples.
Marco recalls: “Already in elementary school I was targeted because I lived in the north and my family came from the south of Italy. They used to insult me because I was overweight. So I started to put on weight, reaching almost 100 kilos.
