Antonio Baglivo e i segni particolari di un mondo che si svela attraverso l’arte. Lo propone da giovedì 13 parile (dalle 17 alle 199 nella mostra dal titolo Enigma, indizi per un alfabeto personale” all’associazione culturale napoletana Movimento aperto (via Duomo 290/C) guidata da Ilia Tufano.
Scultore, pittore, incisore, ceramista, ma anche gallerista ( nel 1977 a Salerno ha fondato il Centro di Documentazione Arte Contemporanea Laboratorio Dadodue che ha diretto fino al 1992,) Baglivo presenta una panoramica di significanti grafici che compongono il suo modo di percepire la realtà che lo circonda.
Spiega Cristina Tafura nel testo che accompagna la mostra: «Nella sua lunga attività artistica Antonio Baglivo si è sempre interessato alla poesia visiva e alle sue diverse declinazioni, in alternativa alla pittura e creando opere caratterizzate da un percorso personale. A Salerno, inoltre, è stato uno dei pochi, se non l’unico, nei primi anni Settanta, a produrre lavori legati al filone della Narrative Art, dove la commistione tra immagini e parole allargava la sfera della significazione concettuale».
Movimento aperto esporrà anche alcuni dei suoi libri d’artista ed alcune delle numerose cartelle e plaquette che negli anni ha realizzato in collaborazione con importanti poeti e scrittori contemporanei.
Ideatore e curatore della collana IBRIDI LIBRI e dell’archivio di libri d’Artista IBRIDIFOGLI, Antonio Baglivo ha realizzato l’operalibro LO SPECCHIO IBRIDO E IL CORPO EVAPORATO e nel 2021 l’ibrido fumetto NOSTOI, l’antiulisse parte seconda.

The exhibition/ Movimento aperto presents Antonio Baglivo’s Enigma. That world that takes shape in particular signs
Antonio Baglivo and the particular signs of a world revealed through art. He is proposing this from Thursday, April 13 (5 to 199 p.m. in the exhibition entitled Enigma, clues for a personal alphabet” at the Neapolitan cultural association Movimento aperto (via Duomo 290/C) led by Ilia Tufano.
Sculptor, painter, printmaker, ceramist, but also gallery owner ( in 1977 in Salerno he founded the Documentation Center for Contemporary Art Laboratorio Dadodue, which he directed until 1992,) Baglivo presents an overview of graphic signifiers that make up his way of perceiving the reality around him.
Cristina Tafuri explains in the text accompanying the exhibition, “In his long artistic activity Antonio Baglivo has always been interested in visual poetry and its different declinations, as an alternative to painting and creating works characterized by a personal path. In Salerno, moreover, he was one of the few, if not the only one, in the early 1970s to produce works related to the strand of Narrative Art, where the mixture of images and words broadened the sphere of conceptual signification.”.
Movimento aperto will also exhibit some of his artist’s books and some of the numerous folders and plaquettes he has produced over the years in collaboration with important contemporary poets and writers.
Creator and curator of the series IBRID BOOKS and the artist book archive IBRIDIFOGLI, Antonio Baglivo produced the operalibre LO SPECCHIO IBRIDO E IL CORPO EVAPORATO and in 2021 the hybrid comic book NOSTOI, the antiulisse part two.
