Lucio Dalla, il sogno di essere napoletano. Si è inaugurata oggi, nel giorno del suo compleanno la mostra (foto) al Museo archeologico nazionale di Napoli. Oggi, sabato 4 marzo 2023, il cantautore bolognese avrebbe compiuto 80 anni.
Un viaggio visivo e sensoriale, un’esperienza immersiva che trasforma lo spazio espositivo in una scatola scenica. La mostra prosegue il percorso iniziato un anno fa a Bologna, approdato con enorme successo a Roma e giunto finalmente nella sua città del cuore.
La città di Partenope e la penisola sorrentina, luoghi di mille colori, folklore e bellezza, hanno ispirato alcuni dei suoi più grandi capolavori, come Caruso. La melodia e la magia di quel brano – uno dei pezzi più conosciuti e cantati al mondo – nacquero con la stessa naturalezza con cui il sangue scorre nelle vene, anzi “dint’ ‘e vene”, con quel celebre “Te voglio bene assaje” che è una ideale dichiarazione d’amore estendibile a tutto l’universo napoletano.
Poeta che ha cambiato il corso della canzone d’autore Dalla, da attento osservatore, sapeva trasformare in musica e arte visiva gli aspetti più sottili della città e della società napoletana, sfondo naturale e pittoresco di uno dei suoi più celebri videoclip, quello di Canzone. “La prossima volta voglio nascere qua, essere napoletano a tutti gli effetti, non solo importato” – aveva dichiarato l’artista.
La mostra, promossa dal Mann e dalla Fondazione Lucio Dalla con Ministero della Cultura, con la collaborazione e il sostegno di Regione Campania e Fondazione Campania dei Festival, è organizzata e prodotta da C.O.R. Creare Organizzare Realizzare.
Così, attraverso documenti, foto, copertine dei dischi, video, oggetti, abiti di scena, locandine dei film a cui ha partecipato, manifesti, la ricca collezione di cappelli e berretti, sarà possibile scoprire l’intimità di Lucio e vivere la forza della sua anima e musica.
Oltre dieci le sezioni in cui è suddivisa l’esposizione: La sua musica, Famiglia-Infanzia-Amicizie-Inizi musicali, Dalla si racconta, Il clarinetto, Dalla e Napoli, Il cinema, il teatro, la televisione, Dalla e Roversi, Universo Dalla, Il museo Lucio Dalla.
La sezione inedita Dalla e Napoliè dedicata al rapporto tra il cantante e il capoluogo campano, città che o ha incantato e grande fonte di ispirazione per le sue canzoni. Apprezzava la folla tra i vicoli, gli odori della cucina, i suoni, le voci, quel dialetto che amava al punto di studiarlo tre ore a settimana per più di dodici anni. Amava gli scorci sul mare, un mare che navigava spesso con la sua barca Brilla&Billy. Aveva un legame profondo con Diego Armando Maradona. Con lui si erano scambiati nel tempo doni e amuleti. La mostra sarà arricchita anche dal catalogo edito da Skira.

Lucio Dalla, the dream of being Neapolitan. An exhibition (photo) at the National Archaeological Museum in Naples opened today on his birthday. Today, Saturday, March 4, 2023, the singer-songwriter from Bologna would have been 90 years old.
A visual and sensory journey, an immersive experience that transforms the exhibition space into a scenic box. The exhibition continues the journey that began a year ago in Bologna, landed with enormous success in Rome and finally arrived in his city of the heart.
The city of Partenope and the Sorrento peninsula, places of a thousand colors, folklore and beauty, inspired some of his greatest masterpieces, such as Caruso. The melody and magic of that song-one of the best known and most sung pieces in the world-was born as naturally as blood flows in the veins, or rather “dint’ ‘e veins,” with that famous “Te voglio bene assaje” that is an ideal declaration of love extendable to the entire Neapolitan universe.
A poet who changed the course of songwriting, Dalla, as a keen observer, knew how to transform into music and visual art the most subtle aspects of the Neapolitan city and society, the natural and picturesque backdrop for one of his most famous video clips, that of Canzone. “Next time I want to be born here, to be Neapolitan in all respects, not just imported”-the artist had declared.
The exhibition, promoted by the Mann and the Lucio Dalla Foundation with Ministry of Culture, with the collaboration and support of the Campania Region and Fondazione Campania dei Festival, is organized and produced by C.O.R. Creare Organizzare Realizzare.
Thus, through documents, photos, record covers, videos, objects, stage clothes, posters of the films in which he participated, posters, and the rich collection of hats and caps, it will be possible to discover Lucio’s intimacy and experience the strength of his soul and music.
More than ten sections into which the exhibition is divided: His Music, Family-Birth-Friendships-Musical Beginnings, Dalla Tells Himself, The Clarinet, Dalla and Naples, Cinema, Theater, Television, Dalla and Roversi, Universo Dalla, The Lucio Dalla Museum.
The inedited section Dalla and Naplesis dedicated to the relationship between the singer and the capital of Campania, a city that or enchanted and a great source of inspiration for his songs. He appreciated the crowds in the alleys, the smells in the kitchen, the sounds, the voices, that dialect he loved to the point of studying it three hours a week for more than 12 years. He loved glimpses of the sea, a sea he often sailed on his boat Brilla&Billy. He had a deep bond with Diego Armando Maradona. They had exchanged gifts and amulets with him over the years. The exhibition will also be enriched by the catalog published by Skira.
