Spina tremula. E’ la nuova mostra di Mario Spada e Gaetano Ippolito che si inaugura al centro Chikù a Scampia (Largo della cittadinanza attiva), domani, giovedì 24 ottobre alle 18 (anteprima alle 12).
L’esposizione nasce da una idea di Chi rom e…Chi no e Mario Spada e promossa e finanziata dal Comune di Napoli nell’ambito della programmazione di arte contemporanea 2024. E mette in dialogo le fotografie dei due autori, due sguardi sulla città di Napoli che attraversano trenta anni di storie, strade, persone, piccole fatiche quotidiane, grandi eventi.
L’esperienza di lungo corso del fotografo Mario Spada, che con la sua fotografia racconta con precisione e cura i molteplici mondi in cui si immerge, creando una forte relazione tra le immagini, i suoi soggetti e gli spettatori, si confronta con l’opera del giovane Gaetano Ippolito, che con lui si è formato e che ha trovato una sua cifra stilistica nella costruzione di ritratti di città con le sue presenze evanescenti e nella decostruzione di stereotipi.
Il progetto espositivo è metafora del dialogo tra generazioni. I lavori ripercorrono diverse fasi della vita degli autori e della città e, pur scorrendo parallelamente e con indipendenza artistica, creano una continuità visiva e temporale. tremula. This is the new exhibition by Mario Spada and Gaetano Ippolito that opens tomorrow, Thursday 24th October, at 6 p.m. (preview at 12 p.m.) at the Chikù Centre in Scampia (Largo della cittadinanza attiva).
The exhibition is the brainchild of Chi rom e…Chi no and Mario Spada, promoted and financed by the Municipality of Naples as part of the 2024 programme for contemporary art. It brings together the photographs of the two authors, two views of the city of Naples, spanning thirty years of stories, streets, people, small daily chores and big events.
The long experience of the photographer Mario Spada, whose images accurately and carefully reflect the multiple worlds in which he immerses himself, creating a strong relationship between the images, his subjects and the viewer, is compared with the work of the young Gaetano Ippolito, who trained under him and who has found his own stylistic touch in the construction of portraits of the city, with its evanescent presences and the deconstruction of stereotypes.
The exhibition project is a metaphor for the dialogue between generations. The works trace different phases in the lives of the authors and the city, creating a visual and temporal continuity that runs in parallel and with artistic independence.
