Dopo “Carnera” e “Call me”, continua la pubblicazione di brani inediti di Sabba, talentuoso cantautore e musicista. Pronto a stupire ancora una volta i suoi fan con il lancio di questo terzo singolo.
Uscito il 9 giugno il brano “Portami giù” realizzato in collaborazione con il rapper-soul PeppOh per un accorato appello all’autenticità nelle relazioni (in copertina, Sabba e PeppOh, foto di Rosangela Musone).
Questo brano, prodotto per la prima volta da Sabba stesso, è stato scritto e composto dai due artisti presso il SoulFuel studio e missato e masterizzato da Francesco Giuliano nella sua Innerwood Music Mansion. “Portami giù” è anche un video realizzato dalla società IRed, artefici anche di videoclip per Clementino e Caparezza.
«È stato un connubio di anime soul. Avevo questa canzone di cui mi piaceva solo il ritornello. PeppOh è venuto nel mio studio, SoulFuel, dove solitamente faccio pre-produzioni da affidare poi a terzi, ma in questo caso mi sono reso conto che avevo ancora qualcosa da dare al brano. Quindi ho risuonato la linea di basso, le chitarre, il pianoforte e ho deciso che era il momento di fermarmi. È così che è nata la mia prima produzione musicale e ne sono davvero orgoglioso!» – racconta Sabba.
Con questo nuovo singolo Sabba dimostra di avere una grande sensibilità musicale e una voce che riesce a trasmettere emozioni forti e coinvolgenti, grazie a una canzone che sfida la superficialità nei rapporti e racconta la profondità degli abissi interiori.
La canzone parla di “mancanza”, di quell’amore perduto ma mai finito, che con la sua forza dirompente ti “porta giù” per poi farti risalire.
“Portami giù” (non aver paura di me) racconta i tormenti interiori di chi si avvicina e si perde, forse proprio per la paura di affrontare le ombre interiori, di chi ha troppi lividi e poi si allontana e si perde ancora, e questo sembra davvero l’unico modo di illuminare la propria scintilla e quella delle persone simili, anime tormentate ma sensibilmente dolci, in cerca solo di un abbraccio, forse mancato, forse mai dato.
Chi è Sabba: nome d’arte di Salvatore Lampitelli, è vincitore nel 2017 del talent show “The Winner is”, condotto su Canale 5 da Gerry Scotti, che dopo averlo sentito duettare con Fausto Leali disse: «Sei uno dei cantanti che mi ha impressionato di più, la tua vocalità mi ricordi Demetrio Stratos».
Sabba, dotato di “potenza vocale formidabile e timbrica molto bella”, secondo gli stessi Fausto Leali e Mara Maionchi, ritorna in TV nel talent show “All Together Now”, condotto da Michelle Hunziker, in onda su Canale 5. Questa volta partecipa in qualità di giudice nei 100 del Muro degli Esperti, dopo aver partecipato nel 2020 con TheSuper4 all’edizione di X-Factor Romania arrivando in finale ed ottenendo un successo di pubblico straordinario, grazie anche ai video diventati virali su X-Factor Global della loro versione di Caruso e Grande amore. Da quell’esperienza nasce il featuring con Bella Santiago, vincitrice dell’edizione X-Factor Romania 2019, nel riarrangiamento di un celebre classico della musica italiana, “Vivo per lei”. Sabba torna in Romania con i TheSuper4, come ospiti alla finale di XFactor Romania 2021 e per il loro primo concerto sold out a Bucarest nella prestigiosa cornice della Sala Palatului.
Sabba è tra i 10 finalisti di New York Canta con la sua “Comete”, grazie alla quale si esibisce al Blue Note di Milano e sarà live su Rai Italia, la Rai trasmessa nel Mondo e successivamente su Rai2. In quella occasione, con Enrico Ruggeri presentatore, ritrova Fausto Leali, stavolta in qualità di giurato.
Tra le altre esperienze nella sua carriera discografica, “L’ultimo Apache” (Suonidelsud/RaiTrade) con Franco del Prete pioniere del Neapolitan Power (The Showmen, Napoli Centrale) in qualità prima di cantante solista, ma anche di co-compositore e successivamente di chitarrista ritmico. Con i Sud Express, la band di Del Prete, saranno ospiti al Premio De Andrè e premiati come New Neapolitan Progressive al Piedigrotta Festival presieduto dal Enzo Avitabile.
Due tour con oltre 350 date in tutta Italia e due dischi incisi con la band Sabba e Gli Incensurabili, “Nessuno si senta offeso” (BulbArt) e “Sogno e Son Fesso” (Full Heads). Con “Chiamatemi Nerone”, contenuta in questo secondo disco, sono finalisti al premio De André. Dal 2015 è parte della compagnia di “Dignità Autonome di Prostituzione” del regista Luciano Melchionna.
Negli ultimi anni entra anche nel progetto del sassofonista Daniele Sepe “Capitan Capitone” in qualità di cantante sia in studio che live.

After ‘Carnera’ and ‘Call me’, the release of unreleased tracks by the talented singer-songwriter and musician Sabba continues. Ready to amaze his fans once again with the release of this third single.
Released on 9 June, the track ‘Portami giù’ was produced in collaboration with the rapper-soul PeppOh. An unprecedented collaboration between Sabba and soul rapper PeppOh for a heartfelt plea for authenticity in relationships.
This track, produced for the first time by Sabba himself, was written and composed by the two artists at SoulFuel studio and mixed and mastered by Francesco Giuliano at his Innerwood Music Mansion. ‘Portami giù’ is also a video made by the company IRed, also makers of video clips for Clementino and Caparezza.
“It was a marriage of souls. I had this song of which I only liked the chorus. PeppOh came to my studio, SoulFuel, where I usually do pre-production for third parties but in this case I realised that I still had something to give to the song. So I played the bass line, the guitars, the piano and decided it was time to stop. That’s how my first musical production was born and I’m really proud of it!” – says Sabba.
With this new single, Sabba proves he has great musical sensitivity and a voice that manages to convey strong and engaging emotions, thanks to a song that challenges the superficiality of relationships and tells of the depths of inner abysses.
The song speaks of ‘lack’, of that lost but never ended love, which with its disruptive force ‘brings you down’ and then brings you back up again.
“Portami giù” (Non aver paura di me) tells of the inner torments of those who draw near and lose themselves, perhaps precisely because of their fear of facing their inner shadows, of those who bruise too much and then turn away and lose themselves again, and this really seems the only way to light their own spark and that of similar people, tormented but sensitively sweet souls, seeking only a hug, perhaps missed, perhaps never given.

Other salient and qualifying experiences in his recording career include “The last Apache” (Suonidelsud/RaiTrade) with Franco del Prete pioneer of Neapolitan Power (The Showmen, Napoli Centrale) as first lead singer, but also as co-composer and later as rhythm guitarist. With Sud Express, Del Prete’s band, they will be guests at the De Andrè Award and honored as New Neapolitan Progressive at the Piedigrotta Festival chaired by d.a. Enzo Avitabile. Two tours with over 350 dates throughout Italy and two records recorded with the band Sabba and Gli Incensurabili, “Nessuno si senta offeso” (BulbArt) and “Sogno e Son Fesso” (Full Heads). With “Call Me Nero,” contained in this second album, they are finalists in the De André Award.
