Palazzo Degas si rianima d’arte. Da oggi fino al 15 novembre 21 la Galerie Gisela Capitain torna a proporre nel centro delle arti e della scena di Calata Trinità Maggiore, 53 il progetto Zweigstelle Capitain VI. Si comincia con le mostre di Barbara Bloom, Joe Bradley e Tobias Pils.
Nata nel 2022, per creare una piattaforma flessibile e mobile per le
mostre, l’iniziativa punta a creare uno spazio per l’incontro, lo scambio di idee tra gli artisti e la scena culturale locale, interagendo con un pubblico interessato alla cultura.
L’ americana Barbara Bloom ( Los Angeles, 1951) presenta un nuovo corpo di opere, portando avanti la serie The Weather iniziata nel 2015.
In mostra una serie di tappeti collocati a diverse altezze dal pavimento, ognuno con tonalità di grigio verde-acqua, mostrano pattern di punti in rilievo che compongono dei testi in braille. L’artista ha scelto testi descrittivi in modo da accentuare la complessità e la malinconia nella “lettura” del lavoro.
E poi ecco “Anime perdute” dell’americano Joe Bradley e dell’austriaco Tobias Pils: una serie di disegni realizzati a quattro mani affiancano un gruppo di dipinti realizzati individualmente. Nei dipinti realizzati in solo,
forze apparentemente opposte si incontrano ed entrano in dialogo. I disegni sono il luogo della creazione a quattro mani, dove le anime dei due pittori si fondono, in una miscela di stili, idee e tecniche.
Il Centro delle arti e della scena dell’audiovisivo (Casa) è un progetto di Roberto Roberto e Ludovica Tinghi. Ha sede a Napoli, a Palazzo Degas dove, nel 2021, gli spazi sono rinati nella loro fisionomia settecentesca, per restituire al territorio un’operazione di eccellenza e resistenza artistica dedicata alla creazione, all’incontro, alla sperimentazione e alla formazione permanente.

Palazzo Degas comes alive with art. From now until November 15, 21 Galerie Gisela Capitain returns to the center of art and scene at Calata Trinità Maggiore, 53 with the Zweigstelle Capitain VI project in an 18th century building. It begins with exhibitions of Barbara Bloom, Joe Bradley and Tobias Pils.
Founded in 2022 to create a flexible and mobile platform for exhibitions, the initiative aims to create a space for encounters, exchanges between artists and the local cultural scene, and interaction with a culturally interested public.
The American Barbara Bloom (Los Angeles, 1951) presents a new body of work, continuing the series The Weather begun in 2015.
In the exhibition, a series of carpets placed at different heights from the floor, each in shades of aqua-green gray, feature patterns of raised dots that form Braille texts. The artist chose descriptive texts to emphasize the complexity and melancholy of “reading” the work.
And then there is “Lost Souls” by the American Joe Bradley and the Austrian Tobias Pils: a series of drawings made by four hands flank a group of paintings made individually. In the solo paintings, seemingly opposing forces meet and enter into dialogue. The drawings are the site of four-handed creation, where the souls of the two painters come together in a blend of styles, ideas, and techniques. In a historic 18th century building in Naples – and with the history of local painting.
The Center for Audiovisual Arts and Scene (Casa) is a project of Roberto Roberto and Ludovica Tinghi. It is located in Naples, in the Palazzo Degas, where, in 2021, the spaces are reborn in their 18th century physiognomy, to return to the area an operation of artistic excellence and endurance, dedicated to creation, encounter, experimentation and lifelong learning.
