Si inserisce così nel circuito del turismo musicale che coinvolge dieci città italiane anche in un progetto di percorsi musicali in rete. Cresce il numero dei turisti che arrivano nel golfo attirati dall’onda sonora degli spettacoli, non solo al Maradona ma anche nelle piazze.
E nella seconda più grande della città Peppe Barra festeggia i suoi 80 anni con Angelo Branduardi e Dee Dee Bridgewater. Piazza Mercato, infatti, accoglierà un mito vivente della canzone napoletana che con la madre Concetta ha incarnato la cultura popolare partenopea del Novecento e ancora oggi è punto di riferimento della tradizione culturale Made in Naples.
Peppe80Barra. Un’età certa è il titolo dell’iniziativa promossa e finanziata dal Comune di Napoli nella cornice del progetto “Napoli Città della Musica”. Non solo musica, ma anche la mostra Peppe Barra. Il gesto e la voce”, a cura di Francesco Esposito nell’antica chiesa Santa Croce e Purgatorio, alcentro dell’esedra dove risuona l’eco della storia, tra Corradino di Svevia, Masaniello e Eleonora Pimentel Fonseca.
Prima dell’atteso concerto che vedrà il Maestro partenopeo affiancato da Dee Dee Bridgewater, una delle più grandi voci soul e R&B del mondo, vincitrice di Grammy, il cantautore, polistrumentista e compositore Angelo Branduardi oltre che dai partenopei Gnut e Toto Toralbo il pubblico potrà assistere alla reunion delle Paranze e dei tammorrari del Vesuvio traritmi, canti e allegria.
