A Pozzuoli arriva la Sirena di Antonio Grimaldi. Domani, venerdì 4 agosto, dalle 20.30, al Rione Terra, sulla Terrazza di Piazza Centimolo, prosegue la I edizione di “Officine Rione Terra” con lo spettacolo teatrale tratto da “La Sirenetta” di Marguerite Yourcenar.
Il festival di spettacoli itineranti, tra musica, danza, teatro, artigianato, enogastronomia, esposizioni artistiche e laboratori, è promosso dal Comune di Pozzuoli e organizzato da ArtGarage e proseguirà per tutta l’estate e fino a gennaio 2024.
Che cosa accomuna Marguerite Yourcenar alla Sirenetta raccontata da Andersen? Un viaggio della scrittrice francese in America, alla quale una compagnia di attori chiede di adattare la fiaba per il teatro. Un divertissement che diventa una vera e profonda riscrittura, in cui si esalta il rapporto d’amore tra una donna che vuole amare e un uomo innamorato, invece, solo di se stesso.
L’allestimento di Antonio Grimaldi trae forza dalla ricerca sul “buffo” di questa storia, attraverso il quale il pubblico potrà cogliere gli aspetti più moderni e attuali di un racconto così antico e radicato nel nostro immaginario. L’evento gratuito rientra nella V edizione del Festival “Antichi Scenari”, prodotto e organizzato dall’associazione Luna Nova e diretto da Veronica Grossi.
Il programma propone appuntamenti per un pubblico eterogeneo, nel cuore pulsante e vivo di Pozzuoli. L’obiettivo è animare e valorizzare la sua natura in modo innovativo ed ecologico, secondo il modello europeo del site-specific, ancora poco diffuso in Italia.
Per l’occasione, le botteghe storiche del Rione e quelle più recenti saranno riaperte per esposizioni artistiche, artigianali e per dare lustro e merito ai prodotti del territorio, enogastronomici e artistici.

The siren of Antonio Grimaldi arrives in Pozzuoli. Tomorrow, Friday, August 4th, at 20:30, in Rione Terra, on the terrace of Piazza Centimolo, the first edition of “Officine Rione Terra” continues with the theatrical performance of “The Little Mermaid” by Marguerite Yourcenar.
Promoted by the Municipality of Pozzuoli and organized by ArtGarage, the itinerant festival of music, dance, theater, handicrafts, food and wine, art exhibitions and workshops will continue throughout the summer and into January 2024.
What does Marguerite Yourcenar have in common with the Little Mermaid as told by Andersen? A trip to America by the French writer, who was asked by a company of actors to adapt the fairy tale for the theater. A divertissement that becomes a true and profound rewriting, in which the love relationship between a woman who wants to love and a man who loves only himself is glorified.
Antonio Grimaldi’s production is based on research into the “buffo” of this story, through which the audience will be able to grasp the more modern and current aspects of a story so ancient and rooted in our imagination. The free event is part of the fifth edition of the festival “Antichi Scenari”, produced and organized by the association Luna Nova and directed by Veronica Grossi.
The program offers appointments for a diverse audience in the pulsating and living heart of Pozzuoli. The aim is to animate and valorize its nature in an innovative and ecological way, according to the European model.
For the occasion, the historic shops in Rione Terra and newer ones will be reopened for art and handicraft exhibitions, giving glory and recognition to local food, wine and art products.
