Quartieri di Vita. Life infected with social theatre. Partono oggi i nuovi laboratori del Festival di formazione e teatro sociale organizzato dalla Fondazione Campania dei Festival, ideato dal direttore artistico Ruggero Cappuccio.
Quartieri di Vita è dal 2021 un progetto internazionale che riunisce artisti europei impegnati nelle arti performative orientate al terzo settore per realizzare, insieme alle associazioni culturali e compagnie teatrali attive in luoghi e contesti vulnerabili di tutte le province campane, residenze creative di grande rilevanza sociale.
Dieci artisti provenienti da 8 paesi europei (Repubblica Ceca, Romania, Portogallo, Lituania, Polonia, Germania, Fiandre e Austria) saranno impegnati nelle province di Napoli, Avellino, Benevento, Salerno e Caserta per co-dirigere insieme a 8 registi campani workshop di formazione teatrale rivolti a 80 destinatari suddivisi in 8 gruppi di lavoro.
Un’esperienza davvero unica che consentirà di mettere in gioco le proprie esperienze e partecipare a tutte le fasi del processo creativo a donne vittime di violenza o con dipendenze da alcool e droga, soggetti con disabilità, adolescenti che vivono in ambienti disagiati, minori di diverse nazionalità, ma anche giovani universitari che per motivi di studio si occupano di scienze dello spettacolo e sociali, ampliando l’impatto positivo e tangibile di “Quartieri di Vita” sulle comunità in termini di crescita, consapevolezza e azione solidale.
I risultati dei workshop saranno presentati al pubblico in 8 prove aperte, programmate tra il 30 novembre e il 3 dicembre 2023, nei luoghi della regione Campania che ospitano gli artisti durante la fase delle residenze creative.
Gli artisti europei che prendono parte all’edizione 2023 sono: Jana Svobodová e Martin Krupa (Repubblica Ceca), Susana C. Gaspar (Portogallo), Christian Costa (Polonia), Anis Hamdoun (Germania), Sarah Milena Rendel (Austria), Oscar Briou (Belgio), Šarūnė Pečiukonytė e Karolina Žernytė (Lituania) e Ioana Toloargă (Romania). Gli 8 artisti italiani che con loro co-dirigeranno i workshop di Quartieri di Vita sono Marina Rippa, Gina Ferri, Enzo Mirone, Patrizio Ranieri Ciu, Antonio Nardelli, Rossella Massari, Roberta Prisco e Arianna Ricciardi.
L’edizione 2023 è realizzata con il sostegno della Regione Campania e del Ministero della Cultura (di cui è progetto speciale nel 2022 e 2023), in partenariato con i Cluster Eunic – European Union National Institutes for Culture di Roma e Napoli ed è dedicata a Italo Calvino, per celebrare il centenario dalla sua nascita.

Neighborhoods of life/ Education and social theater: European and Italian artists lead workshops for frail people. Creativity becomes a chance for growth
Neighborhoods of life. Life infected by social theater. The new workshops of the training and social theater festival organized by Fondazione Campania dei Festival, conceived by artistic director Ruggero Cappuccio, begin today.
Quartieri di Vita is an international project that, since 2021, has been bringing together European artists working in the performing arts in the third sector to create creative residencies of great social relevance in collaboration with cultural associations and theatrical companies working in vulnerable places and contexts in the provinces of Campania.
Ten artists from 8 European countries (Czech Republic, Romania, Portugal, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Flanders and Austria) will be engaged in the provinces of Naples, Avellino, Benevento, Salerno and Caserta to co-direct, together with 8 directors from Campania, theatrical training workshops for 80 recipients divided into 8 working groups.
A truly unique experience that will allow them to bring their own experiences and participate in all stages of the creative process with women victims of violence or with alcohol and drug addiction, people with disabilities, adolescents living in disadvantaged environments, minors of different nationalities, as well as young university students involved in performing and social sciences for study purposes, extending the positive and tangible impact of “Quartieri di Vita” on communities in terms of growth, awareness and solidarity action.
