Un processo vero. Che diventa tragico spettacolo. Ne cura la drammaturgia Annamaria Russo che ne è anche regista. “Processo a una strega” va in scena domani, sabato 24 giugno alle 21, nella cornice della terza edizione di MagicaMente 2023 negli spazi della Reggia di Portici, rassegn organizzata dal Pozzo e il Pendolo Teatro.
L’allestimento rappresenta uno dei momenti più bui della storia del ‘600, attraverso il recupero degli atti: il timore e il pregiudizio si trasformavano in follia, condannando a morte, spesso immotivatamente, donne che avevano l’unica colpa di non rientrare nei canoni della società.
Interpreti: Marianita Carfora, Gennaro Monti, Bruno Minotti, Andrea De Rosa, Ramona Tripodi, Alfredo Mundo, Adriana D’Agostino, Fabio Todisco e gli allievi dei laboratori di teatro, con le musiche dell’Ensemble strumentale e vocale Musica Reservata.
Un gran numero di figuranti ripropone, visivamente, la morsa tentacolare e implacabile della moltitudine che diventa branco, in una storia ambientata nel seicento ma raggelante nella sua attualità.
Processo a una strega è uno spettacolo dal forte impatto scenico ed emotivo, che si apre con la caccia a una strega, coinvolgendo gli spettatori. Dopo la sua cattura ci saranno il processo, le deposizioni, la dolente arringa della “strega” e il drammatico epilogo dell’esecuzione.
Ecco la storia: è Bianca, una donna sola, che si guadagna da vivere distillando le erbe e curando gli infermi con i rimedi naturali, imparati da sua nonna.
Giovane e bella, e s’innamora di un uomo sposato. La libertà e l’amore le costeranno un’accusa che è già una condanna a morte. Basta una parola sussurrata all’orecchio giusto, basta una parola: strega, e per Bianca sarà la fine.
Una favola nera della diversità che diventa condanna, la storia del martirio per chi rifiuta di piegarsi alle chiese, alle paure, alle mode, agli schemi ideologici, ai principi assoluti. E’ la tragedia dell’individuo che non si adegua, che non si rassegna, che pensa con la propria testa, e per questo muore ucciso da tutti.

Per gli spettatori è previsto il parcheggio gratuito all’interno della Reggia, e, per chi fosse interessato, sarà possibile anche visitare il museo con un supplemento di soli 2 euro sul biglietto d’ingresso, il cui costo è di euro 16.

Reggia di Portici/ Trial of a witch: on stage one of the darkest pages from the seventeenth century
A real trial that becomes tragic spectacle. Annamaria Russo curates the dramaturgy, and is also its director. “Trial of a witch” is staged tomorrow, Saturday, June 24, at 9 p.m., in the setting of the third edition of MagicaMente 2023 in the spaces of the Palace of Portici, a festival organized by the Well and the Pendulum Theater.
The staging depicts one of the darkest moments in the history of the 1600s, through the recovery of the acts: fear and prejudice turned into madness, condemning to death, often unjustifiably, women whose only fault was that they did not fit into the canons of society.
Performers: Marianita Carfora, Gennaro Monti, Bruno Minotti, Andrea De Rosa, Ramona Tripodi, Alfredo Mundo, Adriana D’Agostino, Fabio Todisco and students from the theater workshops, with music by the instrumental and vocal ensemble Musica Reservata.
A large number of performers visually reproduce the sprawling and relentless grip of the multitude that becomes a pack, in a story set in the 17th century but chilling in its actuality.
Trial of a witch is a performance with a strong scenic and emotional impact, opening with the hunt for a witch, engaging the audience. After her capture there will be the trial, the depositions, the sorrowful harangue of the “witch” and the dramatic denouement of the execution.
Here is the story: she is Bianca, a lonely woman who earns her living distilling herbs and healing the sick with natural remedies, learned from her grandmother.
Young and beautiful, she falls in love with a married man. Freedom and love will cost her an accusation that is already a death sentence. All it takes is a word whispered in the right ear, just one word: witch, and for Bianca it will be the end.
A black tale of diversity that becomes condemnation, the story of martyrdom for those who refuse to bow to churches, fears, fashions, ideological patterns, and absolute principles. It is the tragedy of the individual who does not conform, who does not resign, who thinks for himself, and for this he/she dies killed by all.

Tickets can be purchased at www.etes.it, Etes outlets and directly on site starting at 8:30 p.m. on the day of the performance, which, in case of rain, will move to suitable covered space.
Free parking is provided for spectators inside the Reggia, and, for those interested, it will also be possible to visit the museum with an additional charge of only 2 euros on the entrance ticket, which costs 16 euros.
