“Seeds grow” è il tema della residenza artistica che sarà ospitata nella casa rurale di Ebbio, in Toscana (Monteriggioni, in provincia di Siena), dal 29 luglio al 12 agosto 2024. La residenza è un’iniziativa di Ida (il nome si ispira alla mitologia greca: Ida è una ninfa, figlia di Melissé re di Creta. Il suo culto selvaggio ricorda la necessità di tornare all’essenziale: la natura,), agenzia di consulenza fondata da Florence Marmiesse e Camilla D’Alfonso, specializzata nello sviluppo di progetti artistici, dall’acquisizione di opere d’arte alla loro conservazione.
Obiettivo: fornire agli artisti un base per sviluppare la loro creatività, la loro ricerca e il loro lavoro artistico. Gli artisti avranno un supporto curatoriale, amministrativo e logistico e entreranno in una rete di contatti con collezionisti e clienti.
Seeds grow. I semi crescono: il titolo allude alla coltivazione di ortaggi e frutta per la preparazione dei pasti nella tenuta toscana che è vicina alle terme etrusche e si trova su un vulcano spento ad alto livello energetico, con condizioni ottimali per gli artisti.
La residenza è aperta ad artisti di tutto il mondo, selezionati da una giuria di cinque professionisti del mondo dell’arte: Elise Roche, curatrice e consulente d’arte; Mathias Bensimon, artista; Eléonore Levai Belaga, co-fondatrice della galleria Chapelle XIV; Sarah Menahem, Bourse de Commerce – Collection Pinault, Responsabile Marketing; Clara Le Fort, direttrice creativa e caporedattrice.
Le candidature sono state accolte dal primo dicembre 2023 al 16 febbraio 2024 e tra le 70 proposte, sono stati selezionati sei artisti: Yoann Estevenin (pittura); Marion Flament (installazioni e sculture di vetro); Sulian Rios (ballerino); Jade Tang (sculture, fotografie, testi, documentazioni); Constanza Vallese (Oggetti in bronzo e vernice); Louise Vendel (fotografia, pastelli, pittura). Scelti originalità, qualità e profondità di pensiero. L’iniziativa ha il patrocinio morale dell’Istituto francese in Italia.
Napoletana, una delle due fondatrici dell’agenzia: Camilla D’Alfonso che lavora da oltre dieci anni nel mondo della moda, collaborando con artisti e galleristi come Patrick Demarchelier, Harri Peccinotti e Gian Paolo Barbieri. Ha lavorato a New York, Londra, Parigi e L’Avana per differenti progetti artistici e mostre. Da fotografa,h a una profonda conoscenza del processo creativo e delle relazioni umane.

Artist residency/ From Naples to Tuscany: Ida, an agency that spreads the seeds of beauty. Creativity in contact with nature
“Seeds grow” is the theme of the art residency that will take place at the country house in Ebbio, Tuscany, from July 29th to August 12, 2024. The residency is an initiative of Ida (the name is inspired by Greek mythology: Ida is a nymph, daughter of Melisse, king of Crete. Her wild worship recalls the need to return to the essential: nature), a consulting agency founded by Florence Marmiesse and Camilla D’Alfonso, specialized in the development of art projects, from the acquisition of works of art to their conservation.
The goal is to provide artists with a base to develop their creativity, research, and artwork. Artists receive curatorial, administrative, and logistical support, as well as a network of contacts with collectors and clients.
Seeds grow: the title alludes to the cultivation of vegetables and fruits for food preparation on the Tuscan estate, which is located near Etruscan hot springs and on an extinct volcano with a high energy level, offering optimal conditions for artists.
The residency is open to artists from around the world, selected by a jury of five art world professionals: Elise Roche, curator and art consultant; Mathias Bensimon, artist; Eléonore Levai Belaga, co-founder of Chapelle XIV gallery; Sarah Menahem, Bourse de Commerce – Collection Pinault, marketing manager; and Clara Le Fort, creative director and editor-in-chief.
Applications were accepted from December 1st, 2023 to February 16th, 2024. From the 70 submissions, six artists were selected. The selected artists are Yoann Estevenin (painting), Marion Flament (glass sculpture), Sulian Rios (dancer), Jade Tang (sculpture, photography, text, documentation), Constanza Vallese (bronze objects and paint), and Louise Vendel (photography, pastels, painting). The initiative has the moral patronage of the French Institute in Italy.
Neapolitan, one of the two founders of the agency: Camilla D’Alfonso, who has been working in the fashion world for more than a decade, collaborating with artists and gallery owners such as Patrick Demarchelier, Harri Peccinotti and Gian Paolo Barbieri. She has worked in New York, London, Paris and Havana for various art projects and exhibitions. As a photographer, she has a deep understanding of the creative process and human relationships.
