Andrés Máspero è nuovo maestro del Coro del Teatro di San Carlo. Dalla prossima stagione (2023/2024). Con una carriera straordinaria nel mondo della musica, Máspero (foto) porta con sé una vasta esperienza e un profondo impegno artistico.
Originario dell’Argentina, Andrés Máspero ha iniziato gli studi di pianoforte e direzione d’orchestra nel suo paese natale. Ha conseguito un dottorato in musica presso la “Catholic University of America” a Washington DC, distinguendosi come pianista nella categoria “Chamber music and accompanying”, e facendo parte del rinomato Trio della Scuola di Musica “Benjamin T. Rome”, con il quale ha ottenuto numerosi premi. La sua carriera come direttore del coro è altrettanto illustre.
Andrés Máspero ha ricoperto ruoli di prestigio in diverse istituzioni musicali in tutto il mondo. Ha guidato il coro del “Teatro Argentino” di La Plata (Argentina) negli anni ’70 e ha successivamente diretto il Coro del “Teatro Municipal” di Rio di Janeiro (Brasile) per ben cinque stagioni. Ha anche diretto il coro del “Teatro Colon” di Buenos Aires (Argentina) e ha ricoperto la stessa posizione presso il teatro dell’opera di Dallas, Texas, negli Stati Uniti.
La sua presenza artistica è stata riconosciuta anche a livello internazionale. Ha collaborato con l’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia di Roma, preparando il coro per la registrazione del Requiem di Verdi diretto da Antonio Pappano. Nel 2023, si aggiunge un ulteriore riconoscimento alla sua carriera con il premio “II Edizione del Teatro Real Awards” nella categoria istituzionale. E adesso comincia la sua avventura artistica nel teatro più bello del mondo.

Andrés Máspero is the new maestro of the San Carlo Theatre Chorus. Starting next season (2023/2024). With an extraordinary career in the music world, Máspero brings with him vast experience and deep artistic commitment.
Originally from Argentina, Andrés Máspero began his studies in piano and conducting in his native country. He earned a doctorate in music from the “Catholic University of America” in Washington DC, distinguishing himself as a pianist in the category of “Chamber music and accompanying,” and being a member of the renowned Trio of the “Benjamin T. Rome” School of Music, with which he won numerous awards. His career as choir director is equally illustrious.
Andrés Máspero has held prestigious positions in several musical institutions around the world. He led the choir of the “Teatro Argentino” in La Plata (Argentina) in the 1970s and later directed the Choir of the “Teatro Municipal” in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) for no less than five seasons. He also directed the chorus of the “Teatro Colon” in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and held the same position at the opera house in Dallas, Texas, in the United States.
His artistic presence has also been recognized internationally.
