Un momento molto atteso per le ragazze e i ragazzi che ne fanno parte. Il sipario si alzerà alle 20.30 di lunedì 8 luglio per le allieve e gli allievi (foto) della Scuola di ballo più antica d’Italia, quella del Teatro di San Carlo, la cui direzione è affidata a Stéphane Fournial.
In scena le coreografie preparate per lo spettacolo di fine anno, che li/le vedrà impegnati/e in una performance suddivisa in numerose sezioni. In apertura la parte tecnica, che lascerà poi spazio alla danza di carattere e contemporanea. La seconda parte si incentra, invece, sul repertorio e sulla danza moderna.
Tutte le coreografie dello spettacolo sono state curate da Rossella Lo Sapio. La coreografia di Divenire per la sezione di Contemporanea è, invece, di Emma Cianchi.
La parte tecnica, che coinvolgerà l’intera Scuola dalla Propedeutica fino all’VIII Corso, sarà sulle note della Suite n. 2 per orchestra jazz di Dmitrij Šostakovič, cui si aggiunge il Pas de Deux di James Horner e il quarto movimento della Sinfonia n. 9 di Franz Schubert.
Per la sezione dedicata alla danza di carattere, con protagonisti gli allievi dal II all’VIII Corso, le musiche saranno di Johannes Brahms con una scelta di alcune delle sue Danze ungheresi. Chiude la prima parte la danza contemporanea, su Divenire di James Horner.
Nella seconda parte saranno invece presentati brani dal repertorio classico, estratti dal terzo atto de Le Corsaire,su musiche di Adolphe Adam e le coreografie di Marius Petipa (e altri). In aggiunta, verrà proposto il Pas de Deux di Shéhérazade su musica di Nikolaj Rimskij-Korsakov.
Per la sezione di danza moderna, infine, gli allievi dal III all’VIII Corso danzeranno su Tanos di Lino Cannavacciuolo. In apertura e in chiusura brani di Čajkovskij, sulle cui note si esibirà l’intera Scuola di Ballo.

Teatro di San Carlo/ Students from the dance school take the stage for the final performance. Between classical and contemporary
An eagerly awaited moment for the girls and boys who are part of it. On Monday, July 8th, at 8:30 p.m., the curtain will rise for the students of the oldest ballet school in Italy, that of the Teatro di San Carlo, directed by Stéphane Fournial.
On stage are the choreographies prepared for the end-of-year show, which they will perform in a show divided into several sections. The first part is technical, which will then give way to character and contemporary dance. The second part will focus on repertoire and modern dance. All the choreography for the show was created by Rossella Lo Sapio. Divenire’s choreography for the contemporary part is by Emma Cianchi.
The technical section, involving the entire school from Propaedeutics to course VIII, will be set to the sounds of Dmitry Šostakovič’s Suite No. 2 for Jazz Orchestra, along with James Horner’s Pas de Deux and the fourth movement of Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 9.
For the character dance section, featuring students from classes II to VIII, the music will be by Johannes Brahms with a selection of some of his Hungarian Dances. Contemporary dance to James Horner’s Divenire will conclude the first part.
The second part will feature pieces from the classical repertoire, excerpts from the third act of Le Corsaire, to music by Adolphe Adam and choreography by Marius Petipa (among others). In addition, the Pas de Deux from Shéhérazade to music by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov will be offered.
Finally, for the modern dance section, students from course III to course VIII will dance to Tanos by Lino Cannavacciuolo. Tchaikovsky’s opening and closing pieces will be performed by the entire Ballet School.
