Ma chi non è vissuto con amore e con dolore non può inventare nulla se non parole vuote e aride come la cenere». Nel romanzo Itaca per sempre , Luigi Malerba chiarisce con un’immagine di sentimento cosa significa davvero raccontare.
Nel racconto, infatti, c’è la vita con i suoi alti e bassi, ma soprattutto l’identità delle persone: è questo il senso del Cùntarìa Festival che, giunto alla settima edizione, conduce il pubblico attraverso 4 notti di tradizione, cultura e divertimento, tra fiabe, ballate e musiche popolari.
Scenario del magico regno di Cùntarìa, dal primo al 4 agosto, è Stella Cilento (nel salernitano): un’iniziativa organizzata dalla pro loco e dal Comune. Una rassegna dell’immaginario rurale che mette in scena il tessuto storico e culturale del Cilento. Non mancherà la gastronomia.
Quattro anche i percorsi tematici: Storie: narrazioni e leggende locali; Allegria: spettacoli di strada e giochi; musica e concerti e, infine specialità culinarie cilentane.

Stella Cilento/ Cùntarìa Festival: 4 nights of fairytales, ballads and folk music
“If you have fought one day, you can tell a thousand stories of war. If you have loved even one woman, you can tell a thousand stories of love. But who has not lived with love and pain can invent nothing but empty words, dry as ashes”. In his novel Ithaca Forever, Luigi Malerba uses an image of feelings to illustrate what it really means to narrate.
This is the meaning of the Cùntarìa Festival, now in its seventh edition, which leads the public through 4 nights of tradition, culture and fun, among fairy tales, ballads and folk music.
The setting for the magical realm of Cùntarìa is Stella Cilento (in the province of Salerno): an initiative organized by Pro Loco and the Municipality. A review of rural images that show the historical and cultural fabric of Cilento. There will be no shortage of gastronomic delights.
There are also four thematic itineraries: tales and local legends; Happiness: street shows and games; Music and concerts; and finally, the culinary specialties of Cilento.
