Attrici e attori tornano sulla zattera alle stufe di Nerone (foto). Dal 2 al 23 luglio, (quattro spettacoli ogni domenica,alle 21,15) riecco Teatro alla deriva, la rassegna ideata da Ernesto Colutta e Giovanni Meola, che ne firma la direzione artistica per l’undicesimo anno.
Manifestazione unica in Italia, divenuta appuntamento fisso del territorio flegreo, la particolarità della rassegna risiede nel far esibire gli artisti su una zattera galleggiante sull’acqua, costruita appositamente e posizionata all’interno del laghetto circolare delle Stufe di Nerone.
Grazie al suo scenario suggestivo e alla distanza dal caos della città, la zattera ha accolto, finora, un pubblico appassionato, assai curioso e sempre più numeroso, pronto a sorprendersi e farsi catturare dall’abbinamento degli elementi che rendono unica questa location, nonché dalle tante compagnie e dai tanti artisti che sono avvicendati finora.
Spiega Meola: «Questa nuova edizione, la XII, di Teatro alla Deriva conferma una volta di più la volontà della famiglia Colutta, che gestisce questo luogo magico e un po’ fuori dal tempo che risponde al nome di Terme-Stufe di Nerone, di dare continuità a un progetto che, nato nel 2012, ha rappresentato per diversi anni l’unico appuntamento teatrale dell’intera zona flegrea nel corso dei mesi estivi. Cartellone vario, denso, compatto, con due caratteristiche a fare da fil rouge: da un lato, in tutti e quattro gli spettacoli spicca una felice compresenza di dramma e commedia, di marcata comicità e grande commozione; dall’altro, credo di aver invitato, ancora una volta, attori di grande forza, spessore e intelligenza scenica. Chi verrà avrà di che divertirsi e goderne».
Si comincia domenica 2 luglio con “Terra (cantata in dialetto puteolano)” di Pako Ioffredoanche in scena com Pako Ioffredo – Demi Licatae Pino Ruffo (voce e musica). Pozzuoli, Toiano, i Campi Flegrei. Vite interrotte, tradite, lacerate, squarciate. Un linguaggio arcaico che si fa musica, l’essenza di un popolo di porto. Il cuore è tra le pietre tufacee della rocca di Pozzuoli, nel Rione Terra sgomberato nel 1970. L’esilio puteolano grida nel tufo. Il respiro dei tre interpreti alle prese con nomi, ricordi e credenze, nel tentativo di ridonare nuova vita a questo mondo scomparso.
Il 9 luglio “Amleto (o il Gioco del Suo Teatro)” liberamente tratto dal testo di Shakespeare, la regia è di Giovanni Meola con Solene Bresciani, Vincenzo Coppola e Sara Missaglia. Tre soli attori a interpretare tutti i personaggi (scambiandoseli a volte) di questa intricata vicenda di tradimenti, strategie e colpi di scena, tra dramma e commedia. Con il nostro contemporaneo Amleto, pieno di dubbi e incertezze, che usa il gioco del teatro per scoprire la vera natura di un crimine, manco fosse lo sceneggiatore e regista di se stesso. Il teatro arriva in soccorso quando serve.
Ancora Shakespeare, il 16 luglio con La bisbetica domata. L’adattamento è di Francescoantonio Nappi che ne cura anche la regia con Chiara Vitiello. In scena: Mario Autore, Franco Nappi, Vittorio Passaro, Simona Pipolo, Francesco Romano, Marco Serra, Chiara Vitiello
La Bisbetica Domata è una delle prime commedie di Shakespeare e, forse, tra le più contorte. Una commedia esilarante e spietata. Un’opera in cui travestimento e inganno la fanno da padroni, dove l’amore non è amore ma interesse, le relazioni strani giochi di potere. Una parabola senza morale, lotta inesausta tra maschile e femminile, servo e padrone, verità e finzione. Il tutto trasportato negli anni del boom economico.
Chiude lo spettacolo Costellazioni di Nick Payne diretto da Roberto Solofria, in scena con Ilaria Delli Paoli . Una donna, un uomo e l’universo a far da cornice. La fisica quantistica sostiene esista un numero infinito di universi e che, per ogni decisione presa, ci siano mille altri mondi in cui si è scelto differentemente. Payne applica questa teoria ad un rapporto di coppia. Cosa sarebbe successo se…? In una scena essenziale, queste due vite non fanno altro che incontrarsi e scontarsi come in un multiverso, tra pianto e risate.

Stufe di Nerone/ Theater adrift: it’s back to acting on the raft. In the sign of Shakespeare
Actresses and actors return to the raft at Stufe di Nerone. From July 2 to July 23, (four shows every Sunday,at 9:15 p.m.) again Teatro alla deriva, the festival conceived by Ernesto Colutta and Giovanni Meola, who signs its artistic direction for the 11th year.
A unique event in Italy that has become a fixture of the Phlegrean territory, the peculiarity of the review lies in having the artists perform on a raft floating on the water, specially built and positioned inside the circular pond of the Stufe di Nerone.
Thanks to its evocative setting and distance from the hustle and bustle of the city, the raft has so far welcomed a passionate, highly curious and ever-growing audience, ready to be surprised and captivated by the combination of elements that make this location unique, as well as by the many companies and artists that have come and gone so far.
Explains Meola: “This new edition, the XII, of Teatro alla Deriva confirms once again the will of the Colutta family, which manages this magical and somewhat out-of-time place that answers to the name of Terme-Stufe di Nerone, to give continuity to a project that, born in 2012, has represented for several years the only theatrical event in the entire Phlegrean area during the summer months. Varied, dense, compact playbill, with two characteristics to act as a common thread: on the one hand, in all four shows a happy co-presence of drama and comedy, of marked comedy and great emotion stands out; on the other hand, I believe I have invited, once again, actors of great strength, thickness and scenic intelligence. Those who come will have something to enjoy and have fun with.”

On July 9, “Hamlet (or the Play of His Theatre)” loosely based on Shakespeare’s text, directed by Giovanni Meola with Solene Bresciani, Vincenzo Coppola and Sara Missaglia. Just three actors to play all the characters (swapping them at times) in this intricate tale of betrayals, strategies and twists, between drama and comedy. With our contemporary Hamlet, full of doubts and uncertainties, using the play of theater to discover the true nature of a crime, as if he were his own screenwriter and director. Theater comes to the rescue when needed.
Shakespeare again, on July 16 with The taming of the shrew. The adaptation is by Francescoantonio Nappi, who also directs with Chiara Vitiello. On stage: Mario Autore, Franco Nappi, Vittorio Passaro, Simona Pipolo, Francesco Romano, Marco Serra, Chiara Vitiello
The Taming of the shrew is one of Shakespeare’s earliest comedies and, perhaps, among the most twisted. A hilarious and ruthless comedy. A play in which disguise and deception rule, where love is not love but interest, relationships strange power plays. A parable without morals, unrelenting struggle between male and female, servant and master, truth and fiction. All transported to the years of the economic boom.
Closing the festival is Nick Payne’s Constellations directed by Roberto Solofria, staged with Ilaria Delli Paoli. A woman, a man and the universe as a frame. Quantum physics holds that there is an infinite number of universes and that, for every decision made, there are a thousand other worlds in which one has chosen differently. Payne applies this theory to a couple’s relationship. What would have happened if…? In one essential scene, these two lives do nothing but meet and collide as in a multiverse, amid weeping and laughing.
