Ecco i nuovi esperti in attività socio-educative per la terza età. Nasce all’Università Suor Orsola Benincasa il primo Master italiano per formare professionisti specializzati nell’assistenza degli anziani.
Il progressivo invecchiamento della popolazione richiede una ridefinizione del sistema educativo nel suo complesso. Per le persone anziane diventa opportuno progettare percorsi che siano in grado di renderli attori partecipi della propria comunità contrastando le tendenze all’esclusione sociale”. Così Fabrizio Manuel Sirignano, direttore del Centro di Lifelong Learning dell’Università Suor Orsola Benincasa di Napoli, sintetizza l’esigenza sociale da cui è nata la progettazione scientifica dell’ultima novità dell’alta formazione dell’Ateneo napoletano: il Master in Coordinamento di strutture e attività socio-educative per la terza età (bando su www.unisob.na.it/master).
Gli esperti saranno in grado di realizzare interventi ludici e formativi mirati al sostegno degli anziani e della loro memoria autobiografica, ponendosi come figura di sostegno educativo che possa mettere le sue competenze anche a disposizione di enti pubblici e privati, cooperative, case albergo e case di cura per anziani, RSA, circoli ricreativi e di animazione ludica per la terza età, associazioni, famiglie.
Per la presentazione di questo nuovo progetto ha scelto come testimonial Franco Salvatore, fondatore del Ceinge a Napoli, tra i massimi esperti internazionali di genetica, medicina predittiva e studi sulla longevità, che farà parte anche del Comitato scientifico del Master. E Franco Salvatore nella giornata di presentazione del Master, aperta dal Rettore Lucio d’Alessandro, ha tenuto la lectio magistralis sul tema “Dall’invecchiamento alla prevenzione personalizzata” che si è rivelata un suggestivo excursus tra scienza e medicina su “i segreti della longevità in buona salute” (il video della lezione è disponibile su www.facebook.com/unisob).
Il Master in Coordinamento di strutture e attività socio-educative per la terza età prenderà il via a marzo e concluderà le sue attività formative a luglio, anche con un ampio percorso di formazione on the job in strutture di eccellenza nel settore dell’assistenza alla terza età come CASA MIA – Casa Albergo per anziani di Napoli che mette la sua pluriennale esperienza nel settore anche al servizio dei contenuti didattici del Master.
Ci sarà anche un corso di perfezionamento e aggiornamento professionale per “Esperto in attività socio-educative per la terza età. Strumenti e pratiche relazionali per la cura e il benessere degli anziani”, aperto anche ai diplomati.

Here are the new experts in socio-educational activities for the elderly. Suor Orsola Benincasa University is the birthplace of the first Italian Master’s Degree in the training of professionals specialized in the care of the elderly.
The progressive aging of the population requires a redefinition of the educational system as a whole. For the elderly, it is opportune to design pathways that are able to make them participating actors in their own community, counteracting the tendencies of social exclusion. This is how Fabrizio Manuel Sirignano, Director of the Center for Lifelong Learning at the University of Naples Suor Orsola Benincasa, sums up the social need that gave rise to the scientific design of the Neapolitan university’s latest higher education novelty: the Master’s Degree in Coordination of Social-Educational Structures and Activities for the Third Age (call for applications at www.unisob.na.it/master).
Experts will be able to carry out playful and educational interventions aimed at supporting the elderly and their autobiographical memory, positioning themselves as pedagogical supporters who can also place their skills at the disposal of public and private bodies, cooperatives, nursing homes for the elderly, RSAs, leisure and play clubs for the third age, associations and families.
For the presentation of this new project, Franco Salvatore, founder of Ceinge in Naples, one of the leading international experts in genetics, predictive medicine and longevity studies, who will also be part of the Master’s Scientific Committee, was chosen as a testimonial. And Franco Salvatore, on the day of the Master’s presentation, inaugurated by Rector Lucio d’Alessandro, gave the lectio magistralis on “From aging to personalized prevention”, which turned out to be a suggestive excursion between science and medicine on “the secrets of healthy longevity” (video of the lecture is available at www.facebook.com/unisob).
The Master’s Degree in the Coordination of Social-Educational Institutions and Activities for the third age will begin in March and end in July, with extensive on-the-job training in institutions of excellence in the field of care for the elderly, such as CASA MIA – Casa Albergo per anziani in Naples, which will also place its long experience in the sector at the service of the Master’s course.
There will also be an advanced training course for “Expert in social-educational activities for the third age”. Tools and relational practices for the care and well-being of the elderly”, also open to high school graduates.
