“Il mondo fa tappa a Napoli”. La rassegna del Trianon Viviani diretto da Marisa Laurito apre il cartellome di 7 appuntamenti con il ritorno al Trianon Viviani, stasera venerdì 23 febbraio, di Noa, affiancata da Gil Dor e il Solis string quartet, in “NOApolis”. Ospite speciale, Valentina Stella.
Si prosegue sabato 16 marzo con Vinicio Capossela in ‘A Aussenzia. Pucundria e altre assenze. ln questo concerto, dedicato proprio al teatro della Canzone napoletana, il cantautore, polistrumentista e scrittore, tra gli artisti che hanno ricevuto il maggior numero di riconoscimenti da parte del club Tenco, proporrà la sua riflessione musicale su «saudade, duende, dalkas e altri demoni nelle musiche dell’assenza».
Il 19 aprile toccherà a Letizia Gambi, la vocalist e cantautrice che combina le proprie radici napoletane- italiane con il sound del jazz neroamericano. Negli Stati Uniti, il suo progetto di “cultural fusion” ha attirato l’attenzione di leggende della musica jazz e i suoi due album sono stati entrambi candidati ai Grammy awards. Ospite speciale del concerto Raiz.
Mentre il 27 aprile Pietra Montecorvino presenterà il suo recital “Napoli”, nel quale, con la sua calda voce vesuviana, si confronterà con i grandi classici della Canzone partenopea, accompagnata da Erasmo Petringa, Daniele Brenca, Valerio Virzo e Salvatore Rainone. Ospite speciale della serata Tonino Carotone, il popolare cantante spagnolo che si è ispirato per il proprio nome a Renato Carosone.
Con “Anima latina”, Mariangela D’Abbraccio, ci condurrà in un viaggio da Napoli a Buenos Aires, tra frammenti letterarî e di teatro, poesie, pensieri e canzoni che hanno in comune l’anima e la poetica della grande cultura popolare. La accompagnerà al pianoforte Massimiliano Gagliardi. Regia di Francesco Tavassi (3 maggio).
L’incontro tra l’artista portoghese Teresa Salgueiro e il Solis string quartet darà vita a “Canti naviganti”, un confronto tra Lisbona e Napoli, due luoghi caratterizzati entrambi da una grande cultura canora dagli aspetti anche comuni. Il repertorio proposto ripercorrerà le varie epoche dell’epopea della canzone delle due città, tra canti popolari e melodie immortali dal Cinquecento fino al Novecento. Alle percussioni Rui Lobato (10 maggio).
Chiuderà il 18 maggio la rassegna Toquinho. In questo suo recital il grande cantante-chitarrista ospiterà il cantautore Enzo Gragnaniello – per un incontro tra il Sud del primo – paulista, di origini molisane e calabresi – e quello del secondo – partenopeo –: un dialogo tra due mondi, geograficamente assai lontani ma poeticamente vicini, in cui «la musica non ha frontiere né limiti, perché arriva dritto all’anima».

Teatro Trianon Viviani/ The world stops in Naples: from Noa to Toquinho. Music has no borders
“The world stops in Naples”. The review of the Trianon Viviani, directed by Marisa Laurito, opens its 7-day program with the return to the Trianon Viviani, tonight, Friday, February 23, of Noa, accompanied by Gil Dor and the Solis String Quartet, in “NOApolis”. Special guest, Valentina Stella.
It continues on Saturday, March 16th, with Vinicio Capossela in “A Aussenzia. Pucundria e altre assenze. In this concert dedicated to the theater of the Neapolitan song, the singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and writer, one of the most awarded artists of the Tenco Club, will offer his musical reflection on “saudade, duende, dalkas and other demons in the music of absence”.
On April 19th, it is the turn of Letizia Gambi, the singer and songwriter who combines her Neapolitan-Italian roots with the sound of black American jazz. In the United States, her “cultural fusion” project has attracted the attention of jazz legends, and her two albums have both been nominated for Grammy Awards. Special guest of the concert is Raiz.
While on April 27th Pietra Montecorvino will present her recital “Napoli,” in which, with her warm Vesuvian voice, she will confront the great classics of Neapolitan Song, accompanied by Erasmo Petringa, Daniele Brenca, Valerio Virzo, and Salvatore Rainone. Special guest of the evening Tonino Carotone, the popular Spanish singer who was inspired by Renato Carosone for his name.
With “Anima latina,” Mariangela D’Abbraccio will take us on a journey from Naples to Buenos Aires, among literary and theater fragments, poems, thoughts, and songs that have in common the soul and poetics of the great popular culture. Massimiliano Gagliardi will accompany her on the piano. Directed by Francesco Tavassi (May 3rd).
The meeting between Portuguese artist Teresa Salgueiro and the Solis string quartet will give life to “Canti naviganti,” a comparison between Lisbon and Naples, two places both characterized by a great singing culture with aspects they also share. The proposed repertoire will trace the various eras of the song epic of the two cities, including folk songs and immortal melodies from the 16th century to the 20th century. On percussion, Rui Lobato (May 10th).
Toquinho will close the festival on May 18th. In his recital, the great singer-guitarist will host singer-songwriter Enzo Gragnaniello – for an encounter between the former’s South – Paulista, of Molise and Calabrian origins – and the latter’s South – Neapolitan -: a dialogue between two worlds, geographically quite distant but poetically close, in which “music has no borders or limits, because it reaches straight to the soul.”
